[Jesse's POV]

To make it short, we got the deal. And it felt fucking awesome to be signed by a label and soon another of our friends would be our manager. Though this had been a dream of me since I was a kid, we kind of knew that it would gonna happen on that day. So the five of us just hugged each other after the meeting and went out for lunch. I wasn't really in party mode, but our school held some kind of dance so Alexis convinced me to go there.

"You just want an occasion to wear that dress you bought last week." I chuckled and looked at the ceiling of my room. As usual, my phone was on speaker mode on my stomach while I was lying in my bed.

"Don't you want an occasion to see me in that dress?" She joked and my smile got a bit wider.

"Okay, we'll go. But I won't dress up or anything."

I could convince Zach to come along as well, hoping there'd be enough needy teenagers who want some weed.

A bit after eight o'clock, the two of us got out of my car in front of Alex's house and leaned against it. I texted her and not five minutes after that, she walked out in a tight black dress with a nice cleavage. Ironically, Zeeko and I both wore our leather jackets and dark jeans. The only thing really separating us was his cap, and the height maybe.

"Oh boy, if she wasn't your girl already..." Zach whispered with a slick grin.

I just smiled at her as she approached us, causing her to bite her bottom lip and smiling at the ground. She hugged my friend and congratulated us on signing the contract. "You look smokin'." I purred after I had kissed her, before we all got in the car again.

The gym of the school was brightly lit and people smoked cigarettes in front of the entrance. I snorted as we entered the hall which was decorated in a very cheesy way. "Can't even remember the last time I went to something like this."

In return, Alexis took my arm and said "Come on, Babe. Try to enjoy it."

It was nice seeing her happy and enthusiastic again, so I nodded and asked her if she wanted to dance. The music was actually terrible, we both noticed that. My girl said we'd enjoy it "Ironically" and I just kissed her and placed my hands on her hips. That dress really was nice. Then the DJ switched all of sudden to a slow song and the crowd of wildly dancing students got smaller and calmer now. My eyes were focused on hers as we seesawed to the beat.

I whispered "Admit it, this is the only reason you wanted to go here. To experience that slow dancing cliché at least once in your lifetime."

"Oh shut up!" She smiled and as I told her to make me do so, her lips were instantly on mine. With her, even this cliché thing is fun.

The song was about to be over I guess, judging by the fact that the corny chorus about some guy loving some girl just was repeated over and over again, as Zach poked my shoulder and I turned around. He mouthed "Come on" and I nodded silently, before turning to Alex again. "Hey Bae, I need to leave you alone for a moment." Her smile faded because she was clever enough to get why I needed to go, and let her hands drop.

Once we were outside, it was not really successful. Maybe because there were teachers inside the gym, which let many freshmen avoid us. As I was having a smoke, I turned to Zeeko and raised my eyebrows as I saw him smiling to himself. He noticed and shook his head. "Jesse, we have a real contract now. A chance to go somewhere with the band. We'll record a real album."

"Fuck yes, you are right, man!" We hugged each other again; I guess he had already drunk some beer someone had smuggled in.

Then I heard a familiar voice behind my back. "Hey, bros! How ye doing?" We greeted Logan who was a reliable costumer and began the usual chit chat. But shit, Zach was right, we wouldn't have to do this anymore soon. Now we did though, and the big guys actually wanted all of what we have sold this weekend and I didn't think that would happen. After about fifteen more minutes, we got frustrated and agreed on going inside again because no one else wanted to buy something.
