[Jesse's POV]

I like band practice. I really do like to create new music, but oh boy, since Zach has started inviting girls over, it has even become better. There were so many needy sophomores and juniors, not so much the people from our grade though. Most of them knew how trashy this was, but damn these little girls were fun to watch.

So, it would go like this: we would actually practice and improve the band for an hour or so, before the girls would come over and then sit on the couches in the garage and watch us while we pretended to do some more work. Usually, that meant another twenty minutes of playing around, before "taking a break". Then, the boys and I would sit down with them, smoke or drink something and accept the compliments about how good we were. Maybe this was making the girls false hope. Maybe this was wrong. But it had been going on for a few weeks now and was a good distraction from the finals. Alexis was pretty busy too at the moment and she didn't have to know everything, did she? I mean, I didn't cheat on her, but it'd make her sad if I told her about it.

So as usual, I sat next to a junior, Melanie, who was looking at her mobile. "Aren't you having fun, Darling?" I said and poked her phone, causing her to look up.

The blonde tried to seem cool. "Well yes, it was nice... the stuff you played."

I took a gulp of my beer and got a little closer, demanding her attention. That was the other thing, I've thrown my new year's resolution out of the window and started drinking again. Another thing my girlfriend didn't needed to know, so we set up a rule that our visitors couldn't talk about what was happening here, even if it was just dumb stuff most of the time. I drew my attention back to Melanie.

"What kinda music do you like then?"

"Err... I'm more into pop punk, you know?" She answered and was really about to turn back to her phone, causing me to take another sip of my beer.

"Jesse!" I suddenly heard and looked up, seeing a tall girl with black curls walking towards me, a big smile on her face which I returned. Liz, from Bryan's school, has hung out with us a couple of times now and she sat down next to, almost on, me.

"Sorry that I'm late, had trouble with my dad." She explained and I put my hand on her arm, grinning "At least you're here now, Love."

Liz blushed and I felt Mrs. Pop-Punk looking at me now which made me want to flirt with the new girl even more.

For the next twenty minutes, Melanie and Liz didn't stop touching me and smiling, laughing at my dumb jokes and really pushing my ego. Someday maybe, we'd get to hang out with hot girls all over the world while touring, I hoped. Then my attention went back to Liz, who was inspecting the tattoos on my neck. I smiled at her and she bit her lip, not minding that my gaze slowly wandered toward her cleavage. She was about to say something into my ear, when my phone rang and Alexis' name was on the display. I mumbled something to excuse myself and got up, leaving the girl hanging in the air.

Next to the garage was something like an office room which I got in and accepted the call. My girlfriend's voice clanged through the phone. "Baby, are you free after band practice? Thought about going down to Lake Sherwood and get my mind off things."

Ever since she had received her driving license and with that a new Hyundai which she shared with Levi, she always wanted to drive me somewhere, which I thought was very cute. My eyes wandered back through the half open door and saw Liz and Melanie hissing something at each other, Jeremy was making out with a junior and Zeeko played around on his guitar, another girl watching him closely. Just Mikey and Bryan sat a bit aside, probably talking about sports or music.
