Shai's POV

"Aloha beautiful," Theo says. "What are you making? It smells good."
I slap his hand away as he tries to reach for a piece of bacon. I'm making pancakes and bacon for the cast. My special welcome back present.
"Aw, come on Shai! You know bacon is one of my weak spots." Theo whines. He plays with my short blonde hair thinking that it'll help his chances.
"Nope. You get it with the rest of the cast Theodore. Now either help me and wash the strawberries or get out." I say.
My boyfriend dramatically turns around.
"Save the drama for the film!" Zoë Kravitz says as she walks into the kitchen. "Smells good Shailene!" She gives me a hug. Zoë then shoves Theo out the door.
"Thanks Zo. I missed you! How have you been?"
"Missed you too! But let's talk about you and Theo. When did you guys become a thing? What happened to Ruth? You didn't commit murder did you? Oh my god, I'm in the same room as a murderer!" She gushes.
I flip the pancakes. "No, Ruth is still alive. Theo just caught her cheating on him. They broke up, which was great for me because at the end of filming, I realized I had feelings for him. He asked me out the next day." Zoë squeals. "Ruth and I are really good friends and she is really happy for me."
Zoë grabs the spatula from me and starts to put the pancakes on the platter. "That's great Shailene! I'm so happy for you! Now what did I hear about strawberries?" We giggle and finish the breakfast.

Zoë and I carry in big platters of pancakes and Miles Teller follows with the bacon. Everyone looks impressed, and I blush. We set the plates down, and I get a round of applause. Zoë nudges me toward Theo. My blush grows deeper.
Theo pecks me on the cheek, then whispers in my ear, "I think you should make a speech." With that, he gives me a good natured shove to the front of the room.
I giggle and stand on a chair. Might as well go full out right?
"Hi, I'm Shai." I start
"Hi Shai!" The boys cours.
My glare makes the foolish grins that they are wearing, vanish. "As I was saying, my name is Shailene, but call me Shai. It's great to be back for round two of Divergent. I wanted to make this breakfast for the cast and crew. So special thanks to Veronica Roth for making this all happen. To another great movie!" I finish.
A rise of cheers fill the room, along with a stampede of people running to my food. I hang back and a figure with glasses makes its way toward me, like a fish against the current.
"Hello Shailene. My name is Robert Schwentke. I'm the new director for Insurgent. I heard great things about you."
"Nice to meet you." I reply, giving him a hug. I'm the type of person who gives hugs instead of handshakes. "Welcome to the crew."
"Thanks. By any chance, did you make strawberry pancakes? One of my favorites." He says walking over to the line that has now formed.

I fall into the bed in the apartment Theo and I are renting. It's a small apartment with only the necessities, nothing too extravagant. Paper white walls, cherry wood floors, again nothing to special. Theo wanted a bigger place to stay, but per my request, he finally gave in. I thought that this would make us look like one of those couples that has money, just not a lot of it. It made sense to 'hide' with Insurgent's code name being Mineral.
Theo walks in then. His face is glistening with sweat, like mist from a waterfall. My t-shirt is resting on a chair in the corner of the room, so Theo takes it and wipes the sweat off of his forehead.
"You know Theodore, I did indeed sweat in that shirt. All you're doing is successfully wiping sweat from your face just to wipe sweat back onto your face." I say laughing.
He drops the shirt. "Well then, Shailene. I'm going to take a shower then."
I giggle as he enters the small attached bathroom. His accent is so cute. I love him.
I enter the bathroom after a few minutes, realizing that I left my favorite sports bra there. When I walk in, Theo is singing a song that I've heard him sing before. It's his song, Skin.

Back on the track of a thousand dreams,
I walk through the water or that's what it seems.
When I stop to breathe the air, goes through my mouth the fire in my head cus'

You told me I'd be a better man than I was
You told me I'd be a better man than I was

Take me to the water oooh
Take me to the river oooh
Take me oooh under your skin

Take me to the water oooh
Take me to the river oooh
Take me oooh under your skin

Long strings and broken things
I step to the beat of the bird that sings
And if I stopped to look around
Walls of the city would burn to the ground

You told me I'd be a better man than I was
You told me I'd be a better man than I was

Take me to the water oooh
Take me to the river oooh
Take me oooh under your skin

Take me to the water oooh
Take me to the river oooh
Take me oooh under your skin

Hmm
You told me
Hmm
You told me
Hmm

I had forgotten what I came in here to do, completely mesmerized by his singing. There is just a touch of his English accent peaking through the notes. It's just the right amount to make the song even sexier than it is.
Theo decides that now is the perfect time to be done with his shower. He turns off the water, and I rush to get the bra and get out ASAP. I run into the small kitchen, hoping that Theo didn't notice me. Maybe if I look like I'm cooking, he'll think I was here all along, I think. But boy am I wrong.
A muscular arm wraps around my waist and Theo says, "Like what you saw in there?"
I turn around to see him smirking. "No. I enjoyed your voice though." I brush his lips with mine. "You take care of dinner. I'm going to run." I toss him a package of spaghetti and he catches it. Theo then proceeds to put it in his mouth, and shake his head like a dog. I shriek when he manages to get me wet.
Atlanta is beautiful during the sunset. The sky is brilliant shades of mango orange, rose red, lemon yellow, and blush pink.  The trees look like hands reaching up to savor the beautiful sky forever.

In my sports attire, I look like an average teenager admiring the sky. I am wearing my favorite electric yellow sports bra with black and yellow leggings. My phone is strapped to my arm, and my black earbuds are playing Maroon 5.
I stop running a hand through my short hair. I kept it that way since I had a role in The Fault in our Stars. At first I wasn't sure if I would keep it this way, but I grew to love it.
My mind flickes back to Theo. I really hoped he hasn't burned the apartment. A smile appears on my face as I think that. Deep down, I know Theo would never do that. But it does sound like something he would joke around about though. I begin the three mile run home.

I walk into our apartment to see Ruth standing too close to Theo for comfort.
