An hour later, and we are on the plane. We still haven't found Angel's parents, but she feels comfortable around us. I didn't want her to be scared.  We let her take the middle seat, so that she has the most room.
"Oh! I forgot to ask you guys something. Can you sign my books?" Angel asks, breaking the silence.
I nod and take a marker out of my carry on. What surprises me is that she takes the WHOLE Divergent series out of her bag. Including Four, the Divergent collection book. Angel hands 2 to Shai, and 2 to me. I quickly sign and write a little note on the Four book.
To Angel,
One of the strongest people I have ever met. Continue to be who you are, perfect as you are. Be brave, be different, be Divergent.
Love,
Theodore James
(The one and only Tobias "Four" Eaton)
I sign Allegiant and hand the books to Shailene. She hands me Divergent and Insurgent in return. We pass the signed books back to Angel.
"Ladies and gentlemen! My name is Cherri and on behalf of our whole team, I would like to thank you for choosing Delta Airlines. We will be taking off shortly. Flight attends, please prepare the cabin for takeoff." A cheery woman's voice says.
I see Angel flinch at the words 'taking off'. Looking at her reassuringly, I take her shaking hand in mine. She offers me a small smile, to which I respond with my own.
We taxi to the runway, and I close my eyes out of habit. I can feel Angle's eyes staring at me, like daggers. Opening my eyes, I see her concerned face.
"It's easier if you close your eyes," I say chuckling. "It helps me at least. Like a routine. Try it. Take deep breaths when you're doing that." I shrug.
She nods and closes her eyes. I do the same thing, but I fall asleep.

"Mister T. So sorry to wake you, but would you like the complimentary lunch? It's a pastrami sandwich with a small salad. So sorry to wake you."
I smile. "Yes please. And, uh, don't worry about it." My accent slips away into a more American one.
She smiles and walks away. I turn and look at Angel, who is reading, (not surprising me anymore). Gently, and slowly, I pick up the cover of her book.
"The Stellow Project, Shari Baker. Signed at the release party." She looks at me. "Sorry, automatic response. Comes from my friends."
I smile. "Interesting. Just happens?"
Angel nods. "How do you do that?"
"What?"
"Slip in and out of accents?"
"Automatically."

I realized that this had 94 reads on it. Like, how? My stories are not that great, but
THANK YOU!! I LOVE YOU GUYS!
Any ideas for the next one shot?
Have a magical day,
