Miles' POV 

I look over at her, but she's not looking in my direction. A sigh escapes my lips as I look back to my script. She finally glances up from her script at me, but I don't dare to look back. Concern fills her eyes, but I know. I know.

She looks back to her script, her eyes gazing over lines and set cues. Suddenly, she slams her script closed and throws it onto the ground. I look up surprised and rather shocked. She is not the type of person to do that.

"I'm going out. Cover for me?"

I nod, but secretly wish that she was actually staying. He already left, and it would only be the two of us. Sure, the tension was awkward and thick, but we could get through it. I could.

She runs her hand through her now blonde hair shaking it out nervously. I expect her to move out of the room, but she stays studying me. I don't want to meet her eyes. I can feel them looking on my back.

Just then, he bursts through the door. I don't look up from my script, but I can't read on. Not at this scene. Not at their scene. My eyes well up with tears, but I fight them back.

"Miles. Nice to see you, lad."

I offer a small nod from where I sit, but I don't face him. He tells me that he would like to go over some of the scenes that we are both in. At this point, I know that she has left.

We do so for about an hour, putting emotions into our every word. We even tried to act out the fight scenes, but not being staged makes everything more complicated.

She comes back and offers to buy us lunch. He already had something, but I took her offer. I don't know this city as well as she does.

I stare into her pretty eyes as I walk out with her, feeling his eyes against my back.

A small thanks escapes my lips after I threw away my trash. She smiles back at me in return and I look to my shoes.

She tilts my head up, leans in, and our lips connect ever so lightly that I'm not sure if it really happened.
