Willow's dark side?

~Ember POV~

"Will Willow be okay?" Wendy asked me.

"Heck yeah! She's been in far worse condition!" I fist pumped the air and flew a little higher.

"She did scream. Is she in pain?" She asked with worried eyes.

"Yeah, she is." I answered her.

"Then we should help her!" She yelled at me.

I sighed. "She'll refuse your help. Will is way stronger than you think. She's nearly died countless times. Considering what those scientists did..."

I stopped and remembered her screaming. I shook my head and smiled.

"She doesn't want us to worry about her! She wants us to save Lucy!"

"But..."

I gently patted her head. "I hate leaving her behind, but she's just to fricken stubborn. The only way we can usually get some sense into her. Is to A: Beat it into her or B: Give her a good book."

Wendy just laughed. I looked at Carla and she glared at me.

"Don't pet Wendy!" She yelled at me.

I put up my hands. "Okay, okay jeez."

"Hahahaha! You go Carla!"

"Shut it Tom Cat!"

I shook my head and looked ahead of us. I saw something shimmer, then I instinctevly grabbed an arrow before it hit Wendy inbetween the eyes.

"WHAT THE..." Natsu began, but was cut of by something dragging him off into the woods.

"HEY!" Gajeel yelled as he was dragged off as well.

One by one all the Dragon slayers were dragged off, except for Wendy.

~Willow POV~

I slowly opened my eyes and sat up in front of the guild.

"I really should work on the Phoenix Tracker more. That way this doesn't keep happening."

"Yes little Willow. You really should."

I jumped to my feet.

"Who's there!" I yelled.

"You don't remember me little sapling?"

"Little sapling?"

The only ones who called me sapling were the scientists that would...

"Come now. If you want to save your friends, then you must prove that our experiment was succesful."

"What...what did you do to my guild members!?"

"Let's play a game. If you win, then I'll let your friends go. If you lose...then you and your friends are my new test subjects."

"You mother f..." I was cut off by something clamping around my wrist.

It was a vine, I ripped it off and growled.

"Each of your Dragon slayer friends are put in different locations. Defeat each opponent and you'll win the round, lose and your friend dies. Simple enough right?"

"Where are they?" I hissed.

"That you'll have to find out yourself. I'll see you at the finish line, Dragonix."

I froze. "I have a lot of explaining to do to master."

I sighed and ran of in the direction the guild went. 'I'll kill those scientists.'

Suddenly I caught a wiff of Wendy. Also I could hear her yelling at someone.

"WENDY!" I screamed.

"Willow," I heard her whisper.

I charged at them all. I grabbed Ember and pulled him into a hug.

"Thank the first master they didn't recognize you!"

"Wait, its them? They're doing this?" He shuddered in my arms.

"Who? Who is doing this to my children?"

I noticed that the tracker ball of light was getting farther away and I shrieked.

"TRACKER CODE: TEN!" It stopped. I looked at master and sighed.

"It's the scientists. The ones that experimented on me amd Ember our whole lives."

They all froze.

"What do you mean?" Lisanna whispered.

"I am a Phoenix slayer. A direct one. Meaning my mother didn't adopt me, she is my actual flesh and feather. The scientists took that as an advantage and took me away when I was only 3 years old. They took my DNA and fused it with different animal DNA's. They started with a falcon, then a wolf, then they stopped at a fish. Here is where it gets really bad."

I looked at Ember and he nodded.

"They somehow managed to find a dragon. It was on the verge of dying. They took its DNA and fused it with mine. This one hurt like hell. They did the experiments for 2 years, before my mother found me. Little did the scientists know that there little dragon DNA test failed, badly. She destroyed the entire place while rescueing me. We trained even harder, until the day she died."

~Ember POV ~

"After her mother died, the scientists found her again. They took her to their new facility and started the experiments again. This time they found another phoenix. They stripped it of its life source and literally fused it to Willows." I said.

I felt her arms tighten around me. I looked up and noticed she was beginning to cry.

"I happened to be a test subject there as well. I was the wolf project. Project number 788. Willow and I were in the same cell room. After a few more years there, something snapped in Willow."

"Ember...don't..." she whispered and held me tighter. Tears ran down her cheeks.

"Sorry, but they need to know." I took in a deep breath. "Willow is project 789. The Dragonix experiment. The night she snapped, was the night she transformed into the Dragonix or something like it. Its more commonly refered to as her darker side. Once she transforms she loses control. She'll turn into a viscious killing machine. They..."

I stopped once I heard Willow whimper. I looked at her and saw her crying.

"Still want me in your guild?" She whispered between sobs.

"Of course we do," Erza said. She placed a hand on her shoulder. Will looked up at her.

"No matter who you are, we will except you. Your our friend Willow. Don't forget that." Erza smiled and hugged us.

"Thanks Erza," I said and hugged her back. It was awkward since my face was in her boobs.

"Now," Willow said as she pulled back. She fist pumped. "Let's go save our friends!"

I smiled at Willow. There's the stubborn girl I know. I knew she was hiding behind all those tears.
