~Willow's POV~
Me, Ember, and Topaz have been wandering the country in order to find my mother. Its been 2 months since we started. Cresent had decided to stay behind and wait for us at the guild, but if I needed help. He had given me permission to create an extremely powerful phoenix site link. With his help of course. Now I was able to communicate to the entire guild no matter where I was, just as long as Warren was there.
"Willow, you sure you know where your going?" Ember complained, again.
"Yes, I mean no. Kinda?"
"We're screwed," He said and sighed.
"Have a little more faith in your friend Ember. I have a feeling we're heading in the right direction." Topaz smiled.
'How's it going guys?' Warren asked.
'I have a feeling we're close. Wait, what's that?' Willow said/ thought.
I suddenly gasped and charged towards a very familiar feather. I picked it up and stared at its crimson color.
"Crimson?"
'Willow, what'd you find?' Natsu asked me.
'A lead.' I replied.
I broke into a run. I spotted another feather, another, and another. A trail of feathers lay on the ground. I charged faster, sparks flying past me as I ran as fast as possible.
"Crimson!" I screamed as I came to a halt.
'Cause standing right in front of me. Was my mother, in an iron cage. She was strapped to a machine and I instantly tore the machine apart.
"Crimson?" I touched her head through the bars.
"Willow?" She weakly lifted her head.
I grabbed the bars and tried to break them, butit didn't work. I tranformed and hooked my talons around the bars. Beating my wings furiously. After a few minutes the bars broke. I hugged her after I transformed back.
"No, you have to go." She said, her voice steadily geting stronger.
"Why? I've been trying to find you since Cresent..."
"Those markings," She looked at me with wide eyes.
"Yeah, they've been on me since the beggining of mating season."
She seemed so surprised by them that I started to get a bit worried.
"What are they?" I asked her.
"They're the marks of the fallen phoenix. I'm shocked you have the, again."
"Why? Again?" I asked her.
She suddenly hugged me. I smiled and hugged her back. I buried my face into her soft feathers.
"Wait, how'd you escape?"
She looked down and sighed.
"The ones that captured me have taken almost all of my fire. They thought I'd die of being so weak, so they left me here. I would have died too, if it wasn't for you."
"Me?" I was surprised. "How?"
"The markings of the fallen phoenix. Your a very special girl. Remember when I told you about your curse."
I nodded.
"I lied."
"You what?!" I screamed.
At that moment Ember and Topaz ran into the clearing. Both had transformed. Well, Ember ran. Topaz dropped from the sky, obviously out of breath.
"Jeez, you had to ditch us?" Ember panted.
"Guys, this is my mother."
Crimson just stared Topaz down.
"A male phoenix slayer," She glanced at me.
"We are not mates." We both stated.
"Yeah, riiiiiiiight."
"Mom," I snapped.
"Back to what I was saying. I lied."
"Yeah, why exactly?" I said.
"What's going on?" Topaz asked.
I quickly told them about what happened.
"Oh," they both said at the same time.
"I lied because I didn't want you to be overwelmed. " She took a deep breath. "When you were still an egg. The phoenix King, also your father."
"WHAT!!!!" I screamed. My voice extremely high. "I'm a full bred phoenix!!!!!!!!!!!"
"Yes..."
"THEN HOW AM I HUMAN!!!!!!!!"
"Willow Flamingstar! Listen to me and I'll explain everything!"
I hung my head in shame.
'Willow Flamingstar?' Lucy asked.
'Blackmail!!!!' Cana yelled.
'Have mercy on me,' I pleaded to them.
"Like I was saying your father came and inspected your egg. You were do to hatch a week ago, but you didn't. We brought the healer and she said that you didn't have enough fire in your body. You weren't gonna make it. Your father, being the hunk he was."
I gagged as she quickly swooned over the memory of my father.
"He summoned every phoenix pleading for their aid. He asked them to give your egg a little bit of their fire, ensuring your survival. One phoenix from each element came forth and lent their fire to you. During this, a phoenix slayer came. He stepped forth and said he is willing to give all of his magic and fire to you. Making sure you survive. Without us even givin permission, he touched your egg and tranfered it all to you. Ending his life in the process. Thus, giving you your human form."
I was speachless.
"After a few years the healer said that you wouldn't hatch for around 2,000 years. A few days after this devastating news, your father died of a heart attack. I wasn't able to rule the kingdom on my own, so I gave up my position as Queen and let my sister take over. I took you and we lived in the home I raised you in. Once you hatched you were seriously ill. I asked my sister for help, but she refused and banished me from the kingdom. I searched and searched for help. Ignoring my sisters banishment I secretly seeked help inside the kingdom. A phoenix agreed to assist me. Until you were five he used his magic to heal you. After you turned six, my sister found out about what I was doing. She stormed his house, the same day you had finally opened your eyes. She killed him and tried to kill you, but something incredible happened. The fallen phoenix markings appeared on your skin."
She looked down and sighed. I was shocked.
"You my daughter, are the fallen phoenix. You have incredible power that you haven't even unlocked yet, but I can help with that."
"How?" I asked her.
A tear slid down her beak. Her body glowed and my markings glowed. We both started to float into the air.
"I, Crimson, phoenix of the stars. Give, Willow, the fallen phoenix. Her fire. The fire I consumed in order to save her life at the age of 5."
"Mom, please don't do this..."
"PHOENIX CONSUMPTION!!!!!!!!" She screamed and opened her wings.
She slowly started to dissipate. Her body turning to mist.
"MOM!!!! NO DON'T LEAVE ME AGAIN!!!"
"Don't worry my daughter. I'll always be with you. Guiding you," Her body was barely visible. "If you need me. Just look skyward. I'll be your North star."
"MOM!!!!!!" I screamed as tear fell down my face.
Her mist was replaced by a brilliant silver flame. The flame engulfed my body, seeping through my skin and connecting to my soul. I screamed in pain and sorrow. The light suddenly condensed tightly around me before exploding. After that I passed out.
