Asha's POV

"Bye manong. Thank you for bringing us to school. We'll just call you later." I was so pissed off with what Haylee did to me a while back. It's a good thing that Manong Narding cooled me down. He was like an Uncle to me, or better yet a second father. I am heading to my locker to put my extra things there. I've got this (locker) right after I enrolled.
I'm on my way to our classroom when someone bump at me. I dropped my back pack and I'm about to pick it up but suddenly it was pick up by someone else. "Sorry miss. Hindi ko sinasadya." I heard his voice. Ooh, I forgot to tell, I can understand and speak Pilipino/ Tagalog. You might be wondering how. Well, I have the blood of a Filipino actually. My mom is a half filipino- half american. Even though we grow up in states, she taught us how to speak and understand Filipino language. "Miss?" Ooh, I was in my deepest thoughts that I even forgot that someone is talking to me. "Uhnm, its okay. Sa-salamat" I don't actually know the reason why I'm stammering, but I think it's because of my shyness. As soon as he gave me my bag, he left without any introduction. And by the way, why would he introduce himself to me? I shook my head and continue walking. After 3 rooms, I found our classroom immediately. I don't want my teacher to be angry at me. I hear students laughter as they re habing conversation, it only means that she's not yet hear, our teacher I mean. Lucky me! As soon as I entered the room, everyone kept quiet, and stared at me. I bowed my head 'cause I do want everyone to be looking at me. I again raise my head to look for a vacant seat. There I saw Haylee seated at the back, with a girl whom I think her "new" friend, basing on her look. I smiled at her, but she just raised her brow at me. The smile on my face faded because of what she has done. There is this vacant chair at the second row, beside the window. I decided to sit there before any one else could grab it.

I felt my phone vibrated so I brought it out. There's a text message from mom:

From mom:
'Hey how are you sweety? Gudlak on ur first day in school. Call you this afternoon okay? Luv u!'

That's my ever loving mom. She treated me like a 5 year old girl, although I'm already 17. I replied to her text quickly before our teacher could get here.

To mom:
'Hey mom. I'm more than ok. Thanks for the gudlak. I hope it will work. He-he . Luv u to! Please tell dad and kuya I love them also.'

I send it to her, and hid my phone on my bag. That's when I noticed that someone is already sitting beside me. Since when did she came?
