Belgium's POV
Romano nodded. "I'm-a glad you said-a yes," Romano said. I smiled. "Why wouldn't I? I mean, you pretty cool to hang out with," I said and sat up against the tree sipping on an apple juice box. Romano nodded. "Just please-a don't stand-a up for-a me," Romano said.
"You really don't know what friends do, huh?" I asked Romano. He shook his head in denial. "I-I-a know how a lot of-a friends do a lot of-a things. They-a laugh, they-a cry," I said. I shook my head. "Lovino, friends laugh and cry together," I exclaimed. He know. "Si I know-a Bella," Romano said and took a bite out of his pizza.
"It's like an eye for an eye. I defend you and you defend me," I said. Romano nodded. He half smiled though it looked a little forced. "That sounds-a decent," he said. I smiled and took out my waffles for a second time and took a bite.
"When was the last time you had a friend?" I asked him. He shook his head. "To-a long," Romano said. I frowned and leaned against the tree. "It must be tough, right?" I asked. Romano shook his head and put his hands on his head and stared at the large building facing him.
"It's-a easy. You-a trust a person and then-a they're a bastard. At least that-a bastard friend is-a gone," Romano said. I frowned. "So, you think I'll be a bastard and betray you?" I asked. Romano's eyes widened as he shook his head once more.
"No, I just haven't-a met a friend that won't-a stab me behind me-a back," Romano said. I smiled. "Hey, then we'll be good friends, right?" I asked him. Romano forced a half smile and nodded. "I-a guess," Romano said. I giggled and got up as soon as the actual bell rang.
I put away my food and walked into the halls. I went to my locker and pulled out my backpack. I emptied the social studies books to empty the load.
"Hey, Belgium!" I heard someone call out my name. I looked to see Hungary and Seychelles with a smile on their faces. "I haven't seen you the whole day!" Seychelles exclaimed. I nodded and shrugged. "Yeah, sorry about that," I said. Hungary put a hand on my shoulder. "Don't apologize we just thought the lunch table was a little lonely without you!" Hungary exclaimed. I nodded. "I'll see you at calculus, then," I waved. Hungary and Seychelles nodded as they waved.
I closed my locker door as soon as I emptied out my books. I dragged my heavy backpack along with me.
"Oh why would that idiot Antonio leave such a belle femme?" I heard a familiar French man say. I rolled my eyes and gave a black expression at Prussia and France standing there with creepy smirks on their faces.
(French fact: belle means beautiful and femme means woman)
"Leave me alone, guys," I said and tried to walk away. Though Prussia had grabbed me by the chin with his hand. "Don't try to valk away Frau. It von't be fun," Prussia said. That same creepy smirk on his face. I cringed and wanting to punch him in the gut, but instead I felt suddenly weak, or something like that.
"Where is Lovino?" I muttered. "Ohohohon," France chortled when he heard me. I bit my lip preventing me from saying anything else. "Oh Antonio vas right, you like zhat idiot, Lovino," Prussia said. "A-Antonio said that?" I asked. "Kesesese! You still like him!" Prussia asked. I shook my head and shot a glare at him.
"Of course this belle femme likes Vargas, right?" France asked. "No! I don't!" I exclaimed. Prussia and France smirked. "Of course you do, because-," he was cut off when I heard a squish sound that sounded like a tomato.
"Leave that-a Ragazza alone!"
I heard a familiar Italian say. The two faced him with tomato stains on their dry-clean uniform. I realized I was still wearing Romano's sweater because of my tomato stain that I had because of him. I couldn't help but smile in thanks. I saw as Romano held a few tomatoes in his hands.
"Mein Gott!" Prussia exclaimed. "Sacre Bleu!" France exclaimed at the same time.
(German Fact: Mein means My and Gott means God)
(French Fact: Sacre Bleu means the same thing)
Romano had a smirk on his face. "Bella are you-a okay?" Romano asked. I nodded. He nodded and glared at the two members of the Bad Touch Trio. "I don't care if-a France is my-a fratello but-a she's my-a friend," Romano said. I shyly smiled. "Thanks," I said. "Ugh how will I get belle femmes now?" France exclaimed. They muttered off into the blue and walked away.
"Thanks," I said. Romano shook his head. "That doesn't-a matter. Seriously what did those-a bastards do to you?" Romano asked. "Nothing. But you didn't have to do that," I said. Romano shook his head. "Like you-a said. And eye for an-a eye," Romano said. I smiled and patted his back. "Then, thanks again," I said. Romano nodded. "You can-a stop apologizing. Really, your-a welcome," Romano said.
"Well, I'll see you later then, Lovino," I said and slung my backpack on my shoulders and walked to my next class in calculus. "O-Okay-a. See you," Romano said. I waved at him then kept walking so hopeful to I could get the spot in between Hungary and Seychelles.
"Wait-a Bella."
I stopped walking and turned to Romano. "You-a know about the-a Haunted House, right?" Romano asked. I nodded. "W-Well we have to-a go in pairs, right?" Romano asked. I nodded again.
"Is it-a okay if I go-a with you?" Romano asked.
I giggled and nodded. "Thanks. I'm surely going," I said. Romano nodded. "That's all I-a wanted to-a tell you. Bye-a," Romano said. I nodded and walked away.
See? I new he could be really nice! But there's something different...
