It was a gloomy morning. I just opened my eyes for the first time. All I see is this purple stuff and my mother. I look up at her and she is eating this purple stuff. She reaches her head over to me and nuzzles me. I nuzzle back and winnie. I try to stand but my darn legs are very walably. On my third try I stand to my feet. Mother is just eating "flowers". I walk over to her and drink some milk. After 10 minutes of that I lay down in the nice warm sun. Soon mother is telling me to get up and head back to the herd. I questioned her theory about a herd. She says it is a safe place for us to be at, so we won't get attacked by the dangers lurking by. So I get up form the warm sun and follow mother. She is a really fast walker. I have to keep up in these tiny legs. Oh god I will have to pick up the pace if I want to stay by her side. We head into this dense forest area. I see squirrels running up the tree and birds chirping. I see the end of the forest and out of no where a bat flys out and scares me. It doesn't bother mother. I geuss she must have a lot of experience with this type of thing. Well yeah why wouldn't she, I was born this morning. I came out of the forest and the light shines right into my eyes. I try to cover them behind mother. Soon my eyes adjust and I see other horses. I look at them. I see Browns, greys, chestnuts, and even black horses. I jump with glee, but not to far from mom. I walk over to the herd and they see me and rush over to smell me. I jump back and hide behind mom. I was scared I didn't know what to do. Mother just tells me that they are the herd. I prick my ears up and I listen to them. The where talking weather someone will like me. I wondered who the person was. It was my father. He was a brown stallion with a white blaze coming down his head. He was rude at times, but deep down he was very sweet. Mother calls me Jasmine. I liked the name, and so did the herd. Soon I see A big robust stallion walking down the center of the herd. I stood by mother and as soon as he came to a stop I ran and hid behind her. I didn't know who he was. I questioned mother and that horse. I am....really scared now....will he like me?
