Chapter 9

The herd is still asleep. I wake up and think about going away. Flint is awake too.
"Where are you going Jasmine?" Asked flint
"I'm going back to my herd" I nicker
He dozes back of to sleep as I sneak away in the morning fog. I spot Shammon and his band again.
"Well well....why are you out here all alone?" He questions
"I'm heading back to my actual herd" I smirk
"Well your not....see your going to be in my herd now" He smirks back
Flint pops out of the forest with cloud and he charges after me. Cloud bites him and chases him away. Flint walks me back to the herd. I tell him that I have to get back to my herd. Flint discusses with his father. Flint must go with me to keep me safe. We head out that night. I see the mountains of my home land. He head across sikes ridge and cross the river. We walk out into a small meadow. We stop and eat for a bit. Then I see another horse. I nicker....and she raises her head. She runs over to us.
"Hi there my name is ember" she says with glee
"I'm Jasmine and this is flint....I'm on my way home" I say
"So am I" she explained
We talk and talk for which seems like hours. We here russling in the trees....and howls. ITS WOLVES!!!! I duck under some trees along with flint. Ember heads towards the mountains. Then she comes bareling down towards us. The wolf bites her leg. She winnies and falls to the ground. I run over to her before the wolves finish her. I scare them away....then I here a truck pulling up. She has her eyes close and I say good bye to her. I run to the forest with flint....I watch them take her away.
