I have grown some to play with the other foals now. Mother says that I will be a strong, wise horse some day. I met a foal that was born last year. Her name is Elizabeth. She is a white mare with blue eyes. She is a pretty laid back, she doesn't do a whole lot but eat. There was a lot off foals last year, but sadly our herd was captured and the foals where taken away from the mothers. Luckily father hid some of the foals, and Elizabeth was one of them. But later on most of the foals that where hidden, died because it was a nasty winter, or the mountain lion attacked them. When she told me that I was scared that I was going to die or be attacked by the mountain lion. My mane fur is starting to come in and it is like little fuzz, sticking out like pieces of grass. I love to roll in the grass. Mother says when I'm older I will eat this stuff. I say it will be gross. I noticed something on my forehead. I have a white spot that changes color. When I'm happy it turns white and sometimes goes down my whole face. Other times it stays in one spot. It's rare for my forehead to be all black. Mother says it because I'm mad. I have gotten used to the herd and new family. We walk about 20 miles a day to find something new to eat. When it is time to go to bed we go into the forest to lay down. It gets cold at times but mother keeps beside me and keeps me warm.
