She winced and covered herself as the belt hit against her skin, making her cry. This is a daily routine for Ava. She is beaten almost everyday for no reason at all.

"Shut the fuck up," yelled the man, hitting her more with the belt. Eventually he stopped and smirked, walking out the room and slamming the door. Ava looked up a little and noticed that he was gone. She winced and crawled to the bathroom, unable to walk. She looked at herself in the mirror and cried to herself.

Ava was placed into foster care after her parents were killed in a home invasion. She didn't have no other family to take care of her; so she was placed into the system. Every since her parents were killed, she refused to talk. No one has heard her voice. And they weren't sure if she would ever talk again. Just then, a girl around her age walked in and looked at her.

"Ava...."

She stared at her and shook her head. The girl didn't understand why this was happening to her. She didn't deserve any of it. Ava watched as her friend sat down beside her.

"He hit you again didn't he," the girl asked her. All Ava could do was nod and look down. That's all she really did. Her friend sighed and touched her face, making Ava wince and shrink back in pain. Her friend frowned and sighed, getting up.

"I hear we are having a visitor in a few days... maybe we will get adopted..."

That thought never crossed Ava's mind. She knew the moment she stepped foot into the system, no one would want to adopt her. Her past for most people is too much for them to handle, so they don't bother to deal with her. Which made Ava very sad. She wished that she was dead along with her parents. She didn't like it here; she just wanted someone to love her instead of being hurt all the time.

Then, the door swung open and the same man stormed in.

"Girls, get downstairs. Food is ready..."

A few girls rushed out the room. When Ava tried to go out the door, the man pushed her back. She frowned and looked down.

"Where do you think you're going..."

Ava looked up at him and pointed to her stomach as it growled. The man rolled his eyes.

"Ava... you aren't eating. You don't deserve to eat with the rest of us. When you decide to act like a big girl instead of a little brat... then you can eat.."

And with that, he closed the door and went downstairs to join everyone else. Ava curled up in her corner while hugging a picture. A picture of someone she loves dearly, even though they don't know she exists. That picture wasn't just any picture to her. It was a picture of Beyonce. Ava idolizes Beyonce. Beyonce is the only person that keeps Ava going when she feels like giving up.

Ava got up and placed a CD into her CD player and sat next to it, listening to Beyonce. Her voice calms Ava down and makes her feel better. Just then, the man stormed in for the third time after hearing the loud music.

"Turn that fucking music off NOW!"

She ignored him, which made him furious. He walked to the CD player and took the CD out, holding it in front of her face. She got up and tried to reach it, but she couldn't. Her bottom lip quivered as she stared at him.

"Awww you wittle cry baby... you want your precious Beyonce CD, huh?! Well too bad," he yelled. He started to break it and threw it out the window, making Ava cry. The man grabbed her and threw her onto the floor, kicking her. Ava couldn't scream because she knew it would make things worse. So all she could do was lay there and take the beating. He got tired of beating on her so he stormed out the door, slamming it. She coughed and coughed, wiping her mouth. Ava slowly crawled out her bedroom window, deciding to take a little walk.

Meanwhile....

Beyonce headed back to her dressing room, smiling as people congratulated her. She just finished headlining Glastonbury. She sat in her chair and sighed, drinking some water. Ty walked in and smiled, hugging her.

"Congrats Bey. Amazing show," he said.

"Thanks, Ty-Ty.."

He searched on his phone for awhile as Beyonce got into her regular clothes. As he was scrolling through his emails, a message popped up. Ty pulled it up and began to read. Beyonce turned and sat beside him, reading the message. A big smile slowly appeared on her face as she realized that this maybe her chance.

"Bey... this is what you been wanting to hear," he told her.

Beyonce has always wanted a child. She wanted to adopt a child from a foster care. Something about helping a child made her feel a lot better. And this is what she was hoping to here. Ty looked at her and smiled, never seeing her this happy in awhile.

"When do I go there," she asked.

"You go to the foster care on... Friday. So in 3 days, you can adopt yourself a baby."

Beyonce smiled big and got all excited, making him chuckle. She got up and went to her hotel, with her laptop in hand. Of course the paparazzi was there, but it didn't bother her much. She smiled and posed for the camera a little bit. As she walked to the door, she stopped and scanned the crowd of people. In the crowd, she saw a little girl whose big, wide eyes were staring back at her.

Ava stared into the eyes of her idol. She couldn't believe that she was there, looking at her. Beyonce walked over and kneeled down in front of Ava, smiling.

"Hi there, what's your name?"

Ava didn't answer; she was too upset with all the paparazzi's flashing lights from the cameras. She became overwhelmed and ran off into the dark. Beyonce wanted to follow her, but she didn't. She instead just stared for a moment, then walked into her room. She plopped on the bed and began scrolling through social media. Ty walked in and sat in her chair, staring at her.

"What was that about out there? It was like you were caught in a trance or something.."

Beyonce closed her laptop and sat it aside, looking up at him.

"I saw this little girl. She had to be no younger than 3 years old. She was just staring at me, like she was in awe..."

Ty chuckled and shook his head, "Bey, that's how all of your fans are when they see you..."

She shook her head, knowing that this was different. "But this is different. Her eyes seemed like they were asking me something..... like they were asking me to help her..."

He sat there for a moment, trying to process what she had told him.

"Maybe she is from the foster care that isn't far from here... That's the foster care that you will be going to on Friday... Maybe she lives there..."

Beyonce nodded and yawned. She had a long day and needed to sleep on this.

"Okay.. I'm going to sleep on it. Maybe you're right..."

He nodded and got up, heading for the door. "Goodnight Monster.."

She just waved and closed her eyes, hoping that the little girl she ran into was a sign.
