Chapter 4 Stealing Sky's Thunder
Amber's P.O.V
Thankfully, no one noticed that his eyes had landed on mine, which I was grateful for. I decided to think nothing of it as I heard David begin to speak.
"Someone's stealing your spotlight!" David sung into Sky's ear. Ever since freshman year when Sky and the guys came back from summer break suddenly hot, every girl wanted them, and every guy wanted to be them.
Sky of course was the most liked and looked up to than the other guys because he's the most athletic and understanding than the rest of the guys. He tries to be sensitive not because it's the nice thing to do, but because he states that that's what the "ladies" like.
He goes through girls as fast as he meets them but he always makes sure that they know what there in for. Nothing serious, no relationship inside or outside, only sex, "just something to pass the time" Sky always says.
"Oh shut up will you Anderson," Sky said punching David in the arm. "I never wanted to have the spotlight in the first place you dick, it just happened."
"No no, we will have none of that swearing Sky," I scolded him with a firm tone not liking how often and easily he swears.
"Well mom," he dramatically said. "I didn't know you were a hypocrite because you swear to."
"Yeah I do son," I teased back. "But I don't do it often as you and the guys do."
"Your lame," Sky said trying to hurt my feelings but he has to try harder than that to hurt me.
"Well it takes one to know one Sky Jay Collins," I replied back using his full name.
"Wow... someone's feeling sassy today!" Raven said patting me on the back.
Sky put his hand up to his heart trying to look hurt but when nothing happens he jumped out of his chair, picked me up, and carried me upside down. 'Oh no, I'm on my fucking period. Great this is just fucking great, put me the fuck down Sky' I demanded but nothing happened. I then realized that I didn't say it out loud which I was kinda grateful for because that would have ruined my whole "do not swear" case.
I hit the back of Sky's leg as hard as I could, causing him to fall forward as I landed on top of him laughing.
Raven then looked at me with a confused look for the longest time until realization spread over her face saying, "Amber do you have an iPhone?" 'She knows me so well' I thought, mentally wiping a tear from my eye.
"OHH MY GOD RAVEN! How many times do we have to fucking tell you?!?! Yes Amber does indeed have an iPhone," Bash said slowly, shaking her shoulders back and forth as if talking to a third grader.
What he said earned a glare from Raven and a laughing face from me as I nodded my head up and down to Raven.
If you're confused, let me explain. Raven and I have a system. When we first got our periods it was like world war three happened. We got sassy, moody, angry, had food cravings, and all that other stuff you hear girls get on their periods.
As we grew older instead of having to ask if were on our periods, we say, "Do you have an IPhone," and if we need a pad or tampon, we say, "Do you have an app, or do you need an app?" It's kinda weird but it works so we never changed it.
Strangest thing is that we've been saying this all the time around the guys for ages, but they never seem to catch on to what it actually means. Sky almost did...key word, almost.
"Someday Sebastian Carter, your gonna look back to this exact moment and think of how stupid you are," Raven said punching him in the arm only to have him hit her back.
I laughed at how odd but lovable my friends are and I took out a book. Me being the opposite from my social friends and not wanting to talk when I don't need to, I resorted to reading a book that I bought a couple of days ago called Evermore. I began to read the computer printed words as I let my imagination consume me.
Ring! Ring! Ring!
The sound of the bell forced me to pull away from book. 'Well that was fast' I thought getting up and walking to my next class.

The rest of the day went by pretty quickly since I basically joked around with Raven and the guys. As I headed down to my car I noticed the same guy from lunch sitting on a motorcycle. He was now wearing a black leather jacket with sunglasses on looking at his phone.
I was nearing my black Nissan car, when I tripped over a damn godforsaken rock. 'That's just freaking great!' I thought as all my books fell out of my hands.
"Need some help?" a deep but somewhat soothing voice said chuckling, picking up one of my many books.
"Oh...umm thanks," I said in an almost whisper like manner to the guy whose now helping me up. His hands were rough but they were also gentle, and his touch sent a warm tingly feeling up my skin. 'Weird...'
He must've seen me blush because the smirk on his face grew bigger. He looked me over and started laughing, probably mocking my baggy clothes.
I internally sighed because I know how bad I must look right now. Even though I was wearing a push up bra, I wore a black and baggy pull over jacket, with jeans that weren't tight, but they also weren't baggy, converse, and my black-framed glasses. I know for fact that my eyes were probably squinting because of how tired I am, and my hair was sill in its messy bun.
My eyes were now looking at his motorcycle noticing how well kept and gorgeous it looks. Ever since the thought of riding one came to mind, I started working extra shifts at the repair shop my uncle owns. Seeing how hard I worked for my own, my uncle insisted on paying for half it. The guy stopped staring at me and followed my gaze to his ride and smirked.
"I just got her," he said.
"Um, her?" I asked back trying to sound new to automobiles and their nicknames.
"Yeah, I finally saved up enough money to buy one," his husky voice said in a prideful manner. I scanned his ride smiling with excitement but then regained my composure because no motorcycle will ever be better than mine. 'So he also worked for his, interesting.' "Do you know how to ride?" He curiously asked.
"Yeah I know a thing or two," I said lying because I know way more than I thing or two. Before I got my motorcycle I fixed up a black racecar my uncle had in the back of his garage. By junior year I finished it and started racing. Then my love for motorcycles filled up my mind and I did everything I could to get one. Being the complete anti social person I was, when I wasn't reading in my own library, studying, or playing video games, I was out racing.
If you were to tell me I was gonna be a street racer seven years ago, I would be laughing in your face for days. It took me a long time to get my title but me, along with my gang, were an instant hit.
"I do to, but I'm not talking about the motorcycle anymore," he said winking at me. My cheeks heated up from his sudden statement and I focused on anything other than his face. A red lightning bolt on his left forearm caught my eye and I stared at it with curiosity.
"Um, okay well, bye then," I said leaving him in the middle of the parking lot.
"Bye Silver," his husky voice said from behind me.
'Silver? That's not my name.'
