Thanksgiving break is officially over. And do you know what that means? Yes! Your correct! School! Now all us teenagers get to go stress themselves about homework, inedible cafeteria food, getting judged by other stressed teens, and everything else great that happens at Lockford High.
"Molly, Rebecca called and she said she was going to pick you up for school, something about squad, and swaggalicious... Kids these days..." My mother ranted, not even realizing Becca was messing with her. I started laughing while my mom looked at me strangely. It ended as soon as a car honked in the driveway.
"That's Becca, I better go," I say as I grab my backpack and head outside. As soon as I step out, I am greeted by the exited squeals of my friends. They all look gorgeous compared to me. The day is warm, so I decided to wear a sun dress, meanwhile Alana had shirts and a really cute top( that in so gonna borrow), Andy had skinny jeans and a crop top, and Becca had a t shirt and skirt on. Their outfits basically match there personalities.
We were all riding in Beccas jeep when we arrived to school. I bet your expecting me to say that all heads turn to us and we all walk in slow motion, while a fan blows out hair behind us, no. That's not what happened. Not to me anyways. While my friends got out looking fabulous, I was tripped, and my phone fell and got cracked on the pavement. Oh high school... How I've missed you...
"Girls, we have our new schedules!" Alana exclaims, waving hers in the air.
"Yea! And better yet... We're all in the same classes!" Becca adds. How is this so convenient you ask? Well, Beccas dad, Mr. Wilson is our schools superintendent.
"Yes! The awesome foursome is reunited!" Andy shouts, fist pumping the air. I grab Alana's schedule and look at it closely.
"Wait- guys! Mine is different! I'm not in any of these! Becca, I think your dad forgot to add me!" I state upsettingly.
"Oh no! That means you won't be in any of our classes!" Becca shrieked.
"We can always change it again right?" Andy asks.
"No, we can't, the school board won't allow it," Becca shakes her head. "Oh my god, Molly I'm so sorry!"
"You know what? It's ok...really... I mean, I will always see you guys at lunch and after school," I put on my best fake smile, but on the inside I was crushed.
Once the bell for class rang, my friends and I exchanged a quick good bye and parted into different directions. Still sort of unsure where to go, I pull out my schedule. Ok. I think to myself. 1st period advanced integrated science with ms. Gump, ugh. I've heard about her. She's supposedly never in class or always asleep. On the bright side... That means if I study extra and take an onli- OOF!
"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry I was looking at my schedule, and I didn't see you standing- oh. It's just you." I look up and see Max there smirking.
"Well you look exited to see me," he replies quizzically.
"Really? Well, don't be surprised cause, I'm actually not," I say with fake sweetness. Ignoring my comment, Max reached over and grabbed the schedule from my hand. "Hey! Don't rip that! I need it for today!" I shout trying to get it back.
"Relax Moe," he said, turning his back to me. "I just want to see what classes we have together." Wait... What?
"Give it back Madix! People are staring and I need to get to class!"
"Nonsense!" Riiiiiiiip. There goes my schedule. Max tosses the two paper shreds over his shoulder and began walking away. "See you in 3rd Moe!" He shouts behind him. This day keeps getting better.
