I opened the front door to my house, closing it behind me.Yes, I actually have a house. Not an apartment.
It was a small one story house but it worked.
It couldn't really be any bigger since it's just my mom and I here.
I put my stuff down in the kitchen to see my mom walk in.
"Oh hi Maya, how was your day at school?"
I shrugged, putting my stuff down and looking inside the fridge. "Fine."
"Will there ever be a day I get more than a "fine"?" She asked.
I turned around. "Probably not."
I tried walking away before she could ask more questions but she did anyways.
Why do moms want to know so much about your day? This is high school. We literally do nothing but get work and do it.
"How's Farkle? I haven't seen him in awhile." My mom said.
Usually Farkle would walk me home or even come over sometimes.
You see, since Riley and Lucas started dating I've become distant with Riley.
Because she and Lucas hang out like 90% of the time. Literally.
So I hang out with Farkle more. It's not a bad thing it's just....you know.
"He is okay. He's been busy with all his honors classes." I responded.
My mom smiled and I knew what she was thinking.
I groaned. "Mom I don't have a crush on Farkle he has a crush on me."
How many times do I have to tell her that?
"Okay, I got it." My mom said.
"Can you actually imagine me and Farkle dating? Nevermind don't answer that." I said quickly, putting the words back in my mouth.
I could hear my phone ringing from my backpack and I walked over.
The contact name read "Lucas."
Why the heck is he calling me?
"Hello?" I said, answering it.
"Hey Maya, it's Lucas."
"No shit." I said.
I looked up, remembering my mom was still in the room. Oops.
"Watch your language." Lucas said.
I walked out of the room, holding the phone up to my ear.
"Whatever dad. What do you want?"
"Are you coming to Texas with us for fall break?"
I almost forgot about that.
But he literally asked us this morning, how could I already have an answer?
"Who's us? You and Riley?" I said.
"Yeah."
I didn't say anything for awhile because I didn't know what to say really.
"I don't know yet. I'll think about it, it hasn't even been a day."
I walked to my bedroom, shutting the door behind me.
"Okay, well let me know." Lucas said.
Do you really really want me to go? And why?
I didn't actually say that though. I just said bye and then we hung up.
I put my phone down and sat on my bed.
I looked at my desk. So much unfinished homework, but too much laziness.
I really didn't know if I wanted to go to Texas. Especially with Riley and lucas.
If I did end up going, somehow....Farkle is definitely coming with.
There's no way I'm going to be their third wheel in Texas.
A/N
I know the story is boring right now and no lucaya. But be patient with me because it will come.
So....Lucas's point of view next chapter. Also Riley's
I've noticed on my other stories I don't build up on all the characters enough, so I'm doing this!
And thank you all for the votes and nice comments on the first chapter!
I love you all.
