After I mended my hand, I met up with you. "Come on, we need to talk," I said as I pulled you out of the lunch line and sat us both at a table. "I suppose you've just kinda been thrown into all this, so...history lesson!" I leaned in over the table. "Okay, let's start at the beginning. Right now, I suppose you should know, we're in an infinitely secluded area in the state of Wyoming. By that, I mean no one will ever find us, unless they have the-" I stopped, wondering if I should go on. I sighed. "Listen, Reader, your family was that of the last pure humans on this earth. We all look human, yeah, but how do you think I got these golden eyes? And the Greyfangs, with their silver eyes? We are not human. We have abilities, of sorts. Little quirks. You know Thomas? He's our genius, archiving everything in his mind that he's ever seen." You stop my rant, inquiring about my own ability. "Well," I scratched the back of my head. "I can control metal of any type. Since every weapon in the known world has metal in it, I'm basically the secret weapon. Anyways, the Clanfathers, Greyfang and Goldforge themselves, created both clans. It all started the first time war broke out between them. We call it the Days of Darkness, as nothing was true. We were all, well, kept in the dark. When it was over, the Goldforge clan had triumphed. The Greyfangs clan crept into hiding, not to be seen for centuries, until recently. The day before...before they made the move on your house. The ones that were there were...different. I could tell. Something was wrong. That's when I knew we had to save your family. I'm sorry. But...yeah. That's the story so far." You looked silently into what seemed to be my soul and turned away. "If you want to talk, just tell me. I'm not going anywhere." I got up and headed to my tent.

Whoo, history! This took me seemingly an hour to write, so I hope you liked it!
