"Glad to see you up, Reader." My face starts to redden and I avoid eye contact. Your eyes still seemed red. I didn't remember how long you were in my arms, but didn't care. You asked me about breakfast, and I said we were going to eat at the camp mess hall. "It's basically a cafeteria, but more, well, crude, I guess," I assured you. "Their food is...somewhat edible." I smiled at you, trying to break the awkwardness and your fears. We walked to the large tent. One thing you noticed and asked me about was the fact that we all had golden irises in our eyes. "It's a clan trait. If you notice, I have them, too." I showed them to you and noticed your bright blue eyes, critically studying my face. I looked down and got in line with the rest of our dreary crew. "On deh menu," said the lunchman, "is eggs and bacon." We both stared at the powdery eggs and fatty bacon, deciding to walk out and eat some granola bars. "Healthier than Claude's cooking, I'll tell ya that." We got back to my tent and sat at the table, chewing our granola bars awkwardly. "Oh good God," I said, putting down my food. "Listen, I'm sure you remember last night, so let's not be awkward anymore, okay? We're friends, you and me against the world." You nodded and took my hand, squeezing it. I got up, pulling my hand away. "Come on. We have battle plans to complete."
Hey guys. I need feedback. Do I let the Ara x Reader ship sail? I need to know, so leave a comment.
