Chapter 1 - Ghosts From The Past

*Rainbow Dash's P.O.V.* I trembled and tried to shake the thoughts out of my head, as if they were never there, but nothing worked, how could any of this be real?, it was all in my head to begin with!...right?

i walked a little around the house with a lightened step, if this letter was a death threat then whatever i do i need to- wait a minute, none of this could be real, someone is just pulling a prank on me, yeah, that's it.

i sighed in relief and simply walked around my house, still waiting for shy to get out of the shower, but sitting in silence probably wasn't my best idea ever.

i looked left and right as i sat on my couch and i began to hear footsteps surrounding me, and faint whispers "Save save save save, us us us us" i shook my head a little "relax rainbow, there's nothing wrong, it's probably just shy trying to prank you, Ha Ha, Very funny shy, you can come out now."

but no answer came from anywhere, the only sound was the footsteps getting louder, turning into stomps, and the whispers slowly turning into wails of pain and agony "SAVE US, SAVE US, SAVE US!"

i began to truly feel fear settle in "Shy, please stop whatever you're doing, you're scaring me!" suddenly the screams went silent, the stomping subsided and all was quiet again "phew" i wiped a little sweat from my brow and turned my head and screamed.

first stomping, then creepy whispers, now an apparition of a small group of people whose features i could barely make out, except that they all had mouths that hung agape and widened eyes with a sickening white glow coming from them, along with their mouth.

they were pale skinned and covered in blood, until their bodies and faces steadied and i jumped back in horror at the first apparition that slowly began to approach me, it was me.

i stumbled off the couch and fell to the floor and tried to crawl away, but it felt as if they were pulling me closer to them, they whispered in unison "Save Us" and the apparition of me got closer and closer till it picked me up by my neck.

i stared into her, well my glowing eyes while trying to struggle free, but to no avail whatsoever, then she screamed, pulling me close to her, well my face "SAVE US RAINBOW DASH!"

then they dissapeared, the whole group gone and in their place a worried and terrified fluttershy whom ran to my side and held me close to her body.

"oh my goodness rainbow, are you alright?, i heard you screaming from the shower and got out as fast as i could" i softly trembled, the fresh image of the ghost me burned into my head, never intending on leaving my mind.

"i-I'm fine shy, just had a little spook sitting in silence" she gave me the stare glare, god i hated it when she did that to me "ok, fine, i saw something that scared the shit out of me, a group of ghosts scared me."

she raised her brow "ok, now that's far fetched rainbow, there's no such thing as ghosts" she smirked and thought i was joking, until she saw the fear in my eyes "oh my god you're not joking, if there are ghosts here then we need to leave!" she said in a controlled panic.

"shy, shy, relax, lets just, get out of the house for today, there's that celebration at the park correct? for vinyl and Octavia?" she nodded "of course, how could i have forgotten?, hopefully while we're gone those ghosts will leave us be and leave this house of ours."

she hugged me tightly "let's get ready and go, i don't want to linger around much longer, besides, don't wanna be late, now do we?" i then muttered under my breath "twilight would flip her lid if we we're late to that kind of thing."

shy heard me and giggled softly "yes, she would freak out, well, go shower and get dressed in some nice clothing, it is an anniversary after all." i groaned, "fine" she let me go and i went to take my shower.

i entered the bathroom and barely shut the door when the stomping and the wails returned, it caused me to jump and hit my head against the wall and fall to the floor, then i looked in the mirror and my apparition was in my reflection, staring back at me with the mouth agape and the glowing mouth and eyes.

"no, you aren't real, you're just a piece of my mind, you're just a nightmare!" she began to speak to me "am i Rainbow?, am i just a figment of your imagination?, or am i just the repressed memories you don't want to see?!" she lunged at me from the mirror and tackled me to the ground and we fought as she tried to drive a knife into my eye.

we struggled till shy burst through the door and screamed, causing the apparition to disappear as if it was never there to begin with "rainbow, are you ok?!" she rushed to my side and held me close, but i struggled loose of her grip "yes, i'm fine shy" i snapped at her and she suddenly looked gloomier "i'm sorry rainbow, i was just making sure you were ok." tears filled the brims of her eyes and i pulled her in for a hug.

"look shy, i'm sorry i snapped, this is just, really stressful on my mind after what I've been through" she hugged me back, softly crying into my shoulder "look, i'm just not feeling the best in my head, i have a lot going on and i'm still trying to figure it all out, and figure out what these ghosts are all about, i promise i'm not angry with you."

she looked up to me with her teal eyes still filled with tears "pinkie promise?" i nodded "cross my heart, hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye" she smiled and we got up and she left me to shower up.

while showering however, my mind began to wander through my thoughts, gathering whatever information i could gather from my own brain, something isn't right, and i'm going to get to the bottom of it, even if it kills me....

Oh My God, it is like 12:12 AM while writing this and my brain feels amazing right now, i finally got the old thought factory to get my brain to make more story...

now i know what you're all thinking "but alex, didn't you say that book three was your last book in the series?" well yeah, i did, but then i suddenly had a "Writers Crisis" (kind of like a mid-life crisis, but for writing) and i resolved to finally tie up loose ends and unfinished thoughts in the story

so, i hope you all enjoy the final book, i'll be updating regularly, so just keep your eyes out for them updates and i'll see you all next chapter!
