Erran and Arie ch 4

ARIE'S P.O.V.

       I ran. As soon as he turned his back, I pushed off of the car and ran into the store. How could I be so stupid? How could I not have seen this coming? 

     Don't beat yourself up over it, kid. I rolled my eyes and sighed. I wasn't sure if he would come looking for me so I ran to the perfume aisle and sprayed some all over me. Feeling satisfied that my scent has been covered well enough, I walked to the back of the store and hid in the storage room. I took a look at my ankle. It was fully healed. Smiling, I pulled my Ipod out of my pocket and turned it on. I am surprised that it didn't break during the chase. The events from the last couple of minutes played over and over in my head like a broken record. 

       He's friends with them. They are gonna talk him out of it and convince him to reject me. Then, after he rejects me, he is gonna join them in making fun of me. Heavy tears started to roll down my face. I bit my fist to try and contain my sobs. Why must I go through this? I slid down to the floor, no longer having the strength to keep me up. This can't be happening. I can't take anymore pain. 

      You would feel much better is our mate was here to comfort you. I scoffed.

      Don't you understand, Mya? He doesn't want us. 

       You don't know that. Assumptions can be a very dangerous thing.

       Yea, well, you just wait and see.

        Look, just don't do anything stupid. If he finds us, let him say what ever he wants to say. If he rejects us, then laizee-fair.

        What the hell does that mean?

       Let it be. That phrase helped stop the tears. I sniffled and used the hem of my shirt to wipe them away. Just as i started to get up, the door flew open. I looked up to see Erran standing in it with all his sexy glory. I stood up and tried to dash around him but he shut the door and locked it before I could. 

      "Could you just get it over with? I don't have time for this." I said. His brows furrowed in confusion. 

           "Get what over with? Why did you run and leave me?" Chills ran down my spine as he spoke. I longed to jump into his strong arms and kiss him like there was no tomorrow. 

           "Don't play stupid. Just reject me and go back to your little friends and laugh about how stupid I was to ever think that you would ever love me."

           "Do you think that I would reject you because of who my friends are?"

            "Yes." Erran looked hurt. I couldn't stand the look in his eyes so I turned around.

            "I"m not gonna do that, Arie. Please, just put the past behind you and give me a chance. Don't hold me responsible for what my friends did. Don't judge me"

           "I'm sorry but I can't. I have been hurt for too long, Erran. I can't let myself become vunerable again. I don't think this is gonna work out. So, to spare us both the trouble, I, Arie Hendricks, reject-" Before I could finish my sentence, Erran cut me off by kissing me. I wrapped my hands around his neck, bringing him in closer. He pulled away.

        "I'm not letting you go that easily, babe. You can push me away all you want but I'm not stopping until I have you. I will see you tonight." I bring my fingers up to my swollen lips, barely hearing what he just said. When I did, it was too late. He was already gone. I opened the door and peeked out of it, making sure that he was gone. Seeing that the coast was clear, I walked towards the door at the back of the store that lead into the alley. I needed to get my backpack and my skate board before someone made off with them. Luckily, my stuff was still there/ As I walked back into the store, I mentally prepared myself for tonight.

Brandon's P.O.V.

    Wow. That is pretty much all I can say right now. The freak was his mate. Arie was his mate. At first, I thought he was joking. I thought he was pulling a fast one but it turned out that he wasn't. After he left to go and run after Arie like some lost dog, Erica blew up. She super pissed at the fact that her ex was the mate of a piece of trash like Arie. She even tried to seduce him but he shot her down. I made Tammi take her home before Erica tried to run after Erran in the store. I, however, sat on the hood of his car and waited for him to come out. After about ten minutes, he came out. He walked up to his car and opened the door. Since he was too distracted to notice that i was there, i decided to speak up and make my presence known.

     "Hey." His head snapped up and turned in my direction. when he saw it was me, his eyes narrowed.

     "You. What the hell did you do you do to her! She almost rejected me back there!" He started towards me.

      "Hey, don't get so pissed off. We already told you what happened."

     "No. I mean what did you guys do to her before I met her?"

     "Nothing. I-" He cut me off. His eyes were starting to darken.

   "Don't lie to me Brandon! I am not in the mood for your bull!" I sighed in defeat.

    "OK, we bully her. No one in our school likes her except for her one friend. Sometimes I think that not even her friend likes her."

     "Because of you assholes, I hardly even have a chance with the one girl I actually love. Because of you assholes, she wants nothing to do with me. I don't even know what to do to get her to change her damn mind." He started shaking.

     "Look, don't freak out. I will help you win her over. All you have to do is show her that you love her and that you will never hurt her. I'll even get Tammi to help." He seemed to calm down a little.

    "When do we start then?"

     "As soon as possible. But first, you need to transfer into our school."

    "Why?"

    "Well, we want you to get as close as possible to her now don't we." He nodded. " Exactly. I'll get some people to keep tabs on her so you can always be where she is. This way, you can go to her whenever you want to. I'm sorry for hurting your mate, man."

     "Oh, you are apologizing to the wrong person. You need to do that to her. I need to go to the gun range and blow off some steam."

       "I'll see you later then." He nodded again and got into his car and pulled off. Once he was gone, I started to walk home. These next couple of weeks will be hell.
