Luke looked out of his foggy window as he sat in his desk chair swirling around in circles obviously intoxicated. There was nothing else to it. He hadn't seemed to remember anything from the day before, and that was just how he liked it. He lifted up his soon to be empty beer bottle and drowned his sorrows as the alcohol burned his throat.

This was in a way his feeling of hope. He knew that if he did this he was alive. Broken, but alive.

There was one thing about Luke that no one could ever understand though. He was a mystery to anyone he passed. He was a mystery to himself.

Luke's parents were currently no where to be found. Aka the living room as Luke never exactly left his own room. For all he knew they could be in another country. But no they were down stairs.

His phone then rang for the fifth time today, he knew who it was but he didn't want to talk to her. Amy. His girlfriend or probably soon to be ex-girlfriend. Yet this time he decided to grow some balls and answer the phone, even though he knew it wouldn't end well. That's what happens when you cheat.

"Hello" Luke breathed into the phone. "How could you Luke" Amy screamed into the phone while Luke stayed silent. "I thought we were going good, better than ever actually. Four years Luke four and you go and do this" she cries. Luke didn't have an answer for her, or maybe it was the fact that no answer would make up for what he had done.

"Amy" is all he could get out before she hung up. Luke looked down at his lap before finishing the bottle of beer in his hand. And he cried. He knew he had done wrong, he knew she would never forgive him. And yet he also knew maybe this is what was best for him.

Every emotion that was bottled up inside his was now about to be set loose as he threw the empty bottle across the room, soon smashing on the floor. He was done.
