You were laying in bed with a pile of clothes. It has been 1 hour, and you were still searching for something nice to wear. You wanted to look nice for this date and you don't wanted to messed it up. You asked Vernon, what should you wear. He said, "Wear something nice," "You will look beautiful in everything," damn him and his beautiful mouth.
"Well I guess you said yes," mom said while entered your bedroom.
"As you can see," you pointed at the pile of clothes on your bed. "I have nothing to wear," you whined.
"Why?" she took a sit on the edge of your bed.
"Why what?" you asked.
"You said yes. Why?" she asked again.
"I'm not sure really," you sat beside her and leaned your head on her shoulder.
"What do you mean?" she questioned.
"When you nod your head ye-" you sang but she cut you off.
"I'm serious, Mia" she hit me on the head. Hard.
"Ow! Don't hit me just because I'm a fan. Damn it!" You huffed,
"I think I like him, mom.""You think?" she looked at you.
"Yeah, but at the same time I don't want to believe it," you said while you traced a circle on your mom wrist.
"Vernon is a good kid, Mia. I don't think he will hurt you like he did," you knew who she was referring to.
"But you thought the same thing when I'm with him," you peered at her.
She laughed bitterly, "I know him and I'm sure you know him too."
You shook your head no, "I don't think so but I do now," you smiled.
She pinched your cheek, "Alright, honey. Go get ready! And please don't wear short dress," she smiled. She got up from the bed, then leave your room.
You sighed.

Your hair was straightened and left loose. You had smoky eyeshadows, eyeliner and mascara. And of course, a nude lip gloss. You was wearing a white lace dress with long sleeve and ended a little bit under your knee. You jumped from the chair and gathered your phone and wallet.
"Honey, Vernon's here." mom shouted from downstairs.
"I'm coming," you shouted back. You were so nervous, you can tell you were shaking. What if, he doesn't like your dress or even worse he'll probably ditched you. You've never went to any date after him. You slid on your white pointed heels. You went downstairs to your living room.
"Honey, you're smoking!" mom admired you.
You smiled, "Thank you mom." you kissed her cheeks, "Ops I might left you my lipstick stain."
"Oh shut it you." mom giggled.
"Where's Vernon?" your eyes trailed behind your mom.
"Oh, he's in the toilet. I guess he's nervous." mom laughed.
You rolled your eyes, "Yeah, right."
"Did I miss something, here?" Vernon simply said then his eyes trailed over you. You felt something heat in your cheeks. Damn you were blushing. His eyes glazed over and a love-sick expression.
"Hello?" you snapped him out of his daze.
"Oh, I'm sorry. What?" he asked.
"Are we still going or not?" you questioned.
