"Hey, miss me babe?" The voice sent shivers of fear down Alexis' spine.

"What the fuck are you doing here, Dayton?" Alexis spat, crossing her arms. Dan heard her harsh tone, and headed to the door to see what was wrong. He saw the man through the door, and wrapped an arm around Alexis' waist protectively.

"Who's this, darling?" Dan questioned, placing his chin on Alexis' head. Dayton scoffed, rolling his eyes.

"Wow, you already found someone else? You are such a fucking whore." Dayton's words stung like poison, causing Alexis to shut her eyes so she wouldn't cry. Dan on the other hand, had taken Dayton's shirt in his fist, pulling him close.

"Who the fuck do you think you are, calling my girlfriend a slut, you fucking prick." He growled, his blood boiling. Dayton only laughed, lifting his arms up in surrender as Dan let him go.

"How did you find my address?" Alexis questioned, pulling Dan back slightly. Dan stood behind her, holding her by her hips.

"You should know I have eyes everywhere." Dayton smirked. "You were easy to find."

"Get out of here before I call the police. This is a thing they would call stalking, you piece of shit." Alexis narrowed her eyes on the man in front of her, clenching her fists. Dayton laughed loudly, stepping away from the door.

"Don't worry, I'll be back."

"What a fucking piece of shit." Dan muttered, holding Alexis, who was facing him on his lap. The were sat back on the couch, Alexis softly shaking from fear. "If he comes back, you call me, ok?" Alexis nodded, snuggling into his neck.

"What was his deal anyway, do you know?" Dan pondered. Alexis nodded again, pulling herself from Dan's shoulder.

"I dated him until a few weeks before I met you. At first, he was really sweet. But about a month or two into our relationship, he went nuts. Always controlling me, making sure he knew where I was at all times. He would try to have sex with me, and when I would say no, he would scream at me." Alexis explained. "I got tired of it, so I left him. He said he would never let me be happy, and I guess he wasn't joking." She chuckled, tears streaming down her face. Dan sighed, pulling her into his shoulder, hushing her softly.

"I'm so sorry love." He muttered, rubbing Alexis' back. "I will never hurt you, and I will never let anyone hurt you again." Dan's tone was serious, anger filling his whole being. Alexis sniffled, smiling softly.

"Thank you, Daniel." She whispered against Dan's neck, closing her eyes as Dan held her tightly. He smiled, kissing the side of her head.

"Of course, baby. Angels like you need to be protected, and I'm gonna be the one to do it."
