"I hope to be what you are to me"

"You're my oxygen, my kryptonite,

My misery, my joy;

My security and doubtfulness,

My weight but still my buoy.

You will always be my everything,

For better or for worse,

Though I hope that now and then

This is put into reverse:

I hope than I can be your oxygen,

That I take your breath away,

That where I am is home to you,

And where I'm not you're left astray.

To love is to hope,

To hope is to be,

I hope to be what you are to me.

If I'm not your everything,

I completely understand.

You are the sun above the beach,

where I'm a grain of sand."
