The Changing Moment

The Perfs are practicing in the lunch room.

The Perfs: So you wanna be popular, in a way that's so hot you know, to the the tip of the topular, hey now, hey now, everybody wants to be popular, hey now, hey now, everybody wants to be hot you know,

Kacey: Cut, cut, cut.

Kacey looks over at Andy and walks over.

Kacey: Andy! Why are you munching on a carrot when the most popular group in school is practicing?

Andy: Because it's lunch time, and this is the snack my mommy made me.

Kacey: When the most popular  band in school is practicing, you should have the decency to watch quietly.

Kacey stops another kid, grabs his yogurt, and puts the yogurt in front of Andy.

Andy: Sorry Kacey.

Kacey: Eat yogurt, it's a quiet snack.

Kacey walks back to Molly and Grace.

Molly: I think people who eat lunch during lunch are ridic.

Grace: Totes ridic.

Kacey: Focus ladies, if we're going to win the talent show our dance moves need to be sharp. We need to be perfect.
Molly: Of course we'll be perfect, we're the perf's.
Kacey: That's true. We're perf's because we have-
Molly/Kacey/Grace: Perf power.
Grace: Hey, there's the new kid, who just moved here.
Kacey squints.
Kacey: That's Zander. We're partners in science. That boy, can grow some fungus.
Zander walks over.
Zander: Hey Kacey.
Kacey: Hey Zander, what's with the ukelele?
Zander: I'm a musician. I put together a killer band for the talent show.
Molly: Oh, I thought your guitar shrunk in the dryer.
Nelson and Kevin hop down the steps.
Kevin: Zander, were not really allowed to hang out with Kacey and, the Perf's.
Zander: Perf? What's a Perf?
Molly: It's the abriv for perfect.
They pose.
Kacey: Don't tell me Kevin and Nelson are part of your "killer band."
Zander: Yeah, and they rock.
Kevin: We rock so hard, once, even past 11.
Zander: Gravity 4's gonna win the talent show.
Molly: You're bands bands name is Gravity 4?
Nelson: Yeah, because like gravity, we hold it, down.
They all push down on the air.
Grace: Hold what down?
Nelson: Things that would otherwise, possible float. 
Grace: Oh.
Later:
At Danny Mangos:
Kacey: I've decided, as of tomorrow sandals are in, and flip-flops are out.
Grace/Molly: Yes Kacey.
Another Perf named Lulu walks up and sits down.
Lulu: Hi girls.
Kacey: Hey Lulu.
Molly: Hey Kacey, should we all start wearing our lip gloss like that?
Kacey looks closer in her compact mirror.
Kacey: That's not right.
Grace: You've been squinting a lot lately. Is there something wrong with your eyes?
Kacey: I'm fine.
Stevie walks up.
Stevie: Welcome to Danny Mangos. Would you like to try our new Kiwi Calada?
Kacey squints.
Kacey/Molly/Grace/Lulu: Hello Loserberry.
Stevie: You know my name is Stevie.
Kacey/Molly/Grace/Lulu: Loserberry.
Stevie: You girls are at the mall all the time and all you do is shop for clothes and pose. Don't you have any hobbies?
Kacey/Molly/Grace\Lulu: We like to shop, and pose.
Kacey: Now, peace out Girl Scout.
Stevie: It must be great to be Kacey Simon.
Kacey: It is.
Stevie: Beautiful.
Kacey: Right.
Stevie: Stylish.
Kacey: Right.
Stevie: Most hated girl in school.
Kacey: Righ-what?
Stevie: Most hated girl you.
Grace\Molly\Lulu: Gasp!
Stevie: Peace out Girl Scout.
Stevie walks away. Kacey adjusts her eyes.
Molly: Are you sure your eyes are okay?
Kacey: There's fine. Now, let's go shop and pose.
Kacey starts walking.
Grace: Kacey watch out.
Kacey looks behind the moment she walks into the stand.
Kacey: Ahhh!
Kacey stands up.
Kacy: Ow, my head.
Molly and Grace help Kacey out. Lulu gets a call. She starts talking.
Lulu: Hi mom. Yeah, what did the doctor say? Really? Yeah it's a big deal mom. I'm pregnant. Listen, I need to go. Bye.
Lulu rushes to catch up to catch up with the other Perfs. Stevie has been listening the whole time and smiles.
