After a quick but productive day at the acrobat training gym, Suho and Chanyeol reveled in the fact that they could enjoy a long, relaxing, non-chaotic ride home. This is exactly what both of them needed after a demanding day of work. Chanyeol hopped in the back seat, and stretched all limbs as far as they could go while letting out a big yawn. Suho laughed under his breath; concealing it with a smile, and nestled into the seat next to Chanyeol.
"Suho," said Chanyeol as he slowly rolled his head to the right to look at him.
"Yes?" replied Suho, still wearing a meek smile.
Chanyeol turned his body and opened his eyes to max capacity, took in a deep breath, and started slapping and shaking Suho's leg intensely.
"Was it fun?" an exuberant Chanyeol questioned.
"Yeah, of course I had fun. I've never done a flip like that before."
Chanyeol's eyes remained full, and mouth opened as his lips transitioned into a smile.
"Yes! I knew it," exclaimed Chanyeol as he celebrated to himself while pulling a clenched fist into his body.
Suho sighed, and turned back to his place. He pulled his phone out in an attempt to replace his thoughts with something concrete. There was no hiding his pleasure with the tall man next to him. He scrolled through his phone, pretending to studiously read the contents in front of him. His thoughts scattered as he imagined how this situation may evolve. Every possibility seemed to end positively--was he struck with overconfidence, or simply happy?
As Suho's eyes started to glaze over, he felt a small jerk that brought him back to reality. Suho looked out the window to realize traffic had completely stopped around them.
"Driver? What's happening?" asked Suho.
"It looks like there's some sort of event happening down town," replied the driver "but it shouldn't be too long."Suho sat back into his seat with a worried look on his face, unsure of how he would need to change his plans due to this unforeseen obstacle. Chanyeol gazed out the window, looking at all the motionless cars, studying each and every person inside. Two twin girls laughing and texting on their phones; a man nervously tapping his fingers on the steering wheel as if there were no time for anything other than where he needed to be. His face turned from smiling to amused; observing all of the different people. He studied each person--contemplating how he could interact with them.
"Chanyeol? What are you do-" Suho was cut off by the force of Chanyeol's pull.Chanyeol had ripped open the door with Suho's arm in hand. He looked back at Suho and elicited a devilish grin. Suho couldn't resist his pull and had to give in. He hopped out of the car with a confused gesture, wondering what Chanyeol could possible be up to.
Suho quietly thought to himself, "What is he doing? Why is he risking causing a huge scene in all of this traffic? This could go so bad."
Chanyeol immediately started dancing and waving at all the cars around the van. The two twin girls excitedly rolled down their window and started screaming, realizing who was in front of them. Chanyeol waltzed over to them and happily asked if they wanted autographs. The girls whipped out their phones and instructed that he sign each of their cases.
Chanyeol looked over at Suho and whistled, "Hey, come sign these nice girls' phones!" nearly forcing Suho to run over.
After enjoying the moment of surprising the random fans, Chanyeol continued to quickly skip through the spaces in between cars; all while moving and dancing to some of EXO's famous songs. Suho graciously waved and smiled to other motorists who were all trying to get their attention. Chanyeol kept trying to escape further and further away from the van as Suho grabbed his arm to keep him from going. He laughed off Suho's managing and continued prancing around; reveling in all of the attention.
