Crimson

Morning came quickly in the Exo house. Suho and Xiumin had a habit of being one of the first two to arise. They had agreed to each manage a room by walking through and waking each member up. Xiumin usually slept alone since the the departure of Tao, Kris, and Luhan, though occasionally Lay and Sehun would sleep in the beds next to him.

Xiumin was delegated to wake up everyone in the front bedroom closest to the living area: D.O, Lay, Baekhyun, and Chen slept there. Suho's responsibility was to wake up the members that shared his room: Kai, Sehun, and Chanyeol. They had both agreed that if either of them ever overslept, the other would need to take on the full duty of morning motivator.

Xiumin was first to wake up this particular morning. He rolled out of bed and stared down at his feet. A chill came over him after taking the warm covers off of his body. He didn't realize the cold shift in weather recently in Korea. He slowly stretched and rubbed his eyes into consciousness. He let out a big yawn, and continued into the other band-mate's rooms for his morning wake-up ritual.

"D.O., It's morning. Wake up," he politely uttered and smiled.

D.O.'s eyes slowly opened as he blankly stared at Xiumin's face. He then rolled back the other direction, faced the wall and let out a pitiful moan. D.O. was always difficult to wake up in the morning. He valued his sleep over everything else, even eating. Xiumin patted his leg and shook his head while giggling. He knew he was up for the day.

Xiumin then easily woke up Lay, Baekhyun, and Chen. Suho was still asleep, so Xiumin decided to go ahead and wake up the rest of the boys.

"Woooooooooooo!" exclaimed Chanyeol as he clutched a pillow in each arm and jolted at both Kai and Sehun.

They both looked at Chanyeol with a disgusted look and rolled their eyes.

Eventually everyone got up and proceeded to shake off the dazed state.

Today brought with it a grueling work day that incorporated a new dance routine they had just started learning a few days prior. The boys shuffled in and out of the showers one after another and decided to go through their massive walk-in closets to decide what to wear. Everyone had come out totally mismatched to one another. Sweat pants were abound in every color; no uniformity at all.

Eventually Suho mentioned that everyone could wear red - since their new song was themed around roses. His logic was that he knows red is going to be the main color of the costumes used during the performances of the song - so might as well accustom themselves to seeing it while dancing to it. The group agreed to that, and all dug through their outfits to find varieties and accents of crimson red to wear.

Most of the boys were wearing black sweatpants with a red stripe down the side, though three or four of the members decided to go with white and red instead. Their shirts were black or red tank tops with some of the members wearing a red breaker jacket over top. Lay was especially in need of jackets since he was the least accustomed to the cold.

Xiumin had called the resident chef earlier to get breakfast started for them since they didn't have much time to cook anything. The menu for this morning was seolleongtang - a beef bone stew. A few members considered this breakfast their favorite. Kai, and Baekhyun especially fancied warm breakfasts consisting of soup.

The boys all filed into the kitchen one by one, and served themselves a bowl of beef bone stew. Ho Tae-ryung, the chef, greeted them all with a smile as they passed by with his cooked meal in hand. Each member bowed to Tae-ryung with a smile and thanked him for his hard work.
