Riley's POV
"At the beginning of rehearsal you will wait outside in silence until I open the doors and say you can come in. You will then get yourselves ready in silence and then we start. You must arrive at rehearsals in black and white. You will also wear our tracksuits and ditch your current ones. You shall not get water or a bathroom break unless I say I can give you a break. All the choreography will be done by me. Solos, group dance, everything. Also, no communication with other studio members if you see them in the corridors to go to a room during a rehearsal," he glares at me when he says that. Everyone else just looks. I know I'm barely going to see James. Ever.

With that, we get on with the rehearsal.
It's hell.
First of all, the Next Step dancers have been put in the back row deliberately. Secondly, we just aren't connecting. We aren't a team and I don't think we ever will be. But if anything, I just want James back.

James's POV
I walk into B-troupe rehearsals. It's so different. I'm the first to arrive. I have ten minutes, so I guess I could drop into A-troupe rehearsals and see how everything is getting along. And to see Riley.

Riley's POV
This is ridiculous. Lucien's being so cruel. I really need to pee, change and get some water. Something needs to change.
"Look, Lucien this is stupid. You're not even scratching our potential as dancers, I need the bathroom, I'm parched and we need to become a team. I just want things to change," I say. But he just glares at me. He doesn't look impressed. I thought he would listen to me.
"You. Come with me. Now," he says to me, pointing out of the door. I look at my teammates before following him out of the door. He guides me into the corridor. And just starts screaming at me.
James's POV
I head towards studio A, when I hear Lucien shouting. I stop, only to hear Riley's voice.
"I was just making a point," I hear her say angrily.
"You do not disrespect me! I am your coach! I teach you!" He yells. I can't see what's going on, but I can just imagine him exploding on her.
"You don't get it, do you? We're not going to win internationals like this! We need.."
"I will be the judge of that young lady! And I do know that this is just some plan to get that dumb boyfriend of yours back. It's not happening," he says to her cruelly. I feel like going in there and just punching him.
"Don't you dare say that about him," she says. I can tell she's crying. That's it. I'll just act casual at first.
"Oh, hi there Lucien! I was just wondering if I could pay the rehearsal a visit. Just to say hi to everyone," I say patronisingly.
"Haven't you been told the rules? No communication between dancers outside of your troupe!" He says to me. I scoff.
"I, right. Sorry. I didn't know. But what I do know is that you were disrespecting me, a dancer's suggestion and just her in general. And that's not OK with me. And she's right. You're not going to win internationals like this so I think you should listen to her," I say. He stares at me.
"Get out!" He shouts. I smile and leave, only getting to brush my hand against hers. It's really only just starting to sink in that I'm barely going to see her. It's going to be hard and I don't know if we'll get through it.
