“Will I ever see you again?” she asked
“Who knows?” he smiled at her. A smile that is calm and it frustrates her. Ayaw niyang mahiwalay sa lalaking ito. “Hey, I’m just a call away, baby girl.”
Nakaupo lang sila sa tabi ng mga kabataan na tulad nila ngayon ay nakahandusay sa sahig. She made this happen. Able to win the fight that she initiated will not be possible without Jhem.
Pamaya-maya ay nakarinig na siya ng mga ambulansya at mga pulis na parating. She knew they can’t be charge for a crime.
“I think I will be seeing you in a rehabilitation for child delinquency, baby girl.”
“You will let that happen, Jhemuel?”
“Of course not. Now, go. I will take it from here.”
She smiled. She walked away, she never looked back. She wanted to cry at that very instant, but no tears flow. It’s empty. It’s already empty.

“Mom, please don’t say that.”
“I am dying, Teejay, please hear what I’m about to say, this will be my last request to you.” It was almost a whisper.hawak hawak niya ang maputlang kamay ng kanyang ina na si Eleonor Coelo She hold her moms fingers much tighter.
She nodded, and waited till her mom say anything.
“Go to Luke’s International. It’s not a bad school. No one will hurt you there. Ok?”
Tumango siya sa sinabi ng ina. Pero hindi pa ito tapos magsalita.
“Teejay listen to me. You know that it’s not me, who your daddys' first love right? I hope it will be OK for you, if daddy will marry another woman. She will be one great mom for you, Teejay.”
Wala siyang magawa kundi tumango kahit labag iyon sa kalooban niya. But what can she do, it’s her mothers' wish. “and please Teejay, EJ is not a bad guy. Please consider him first, know him first before rejecting him, OK.”
That’s the last bomb. It was the last wish her mom made, and she just nodded. Kahit pa nasasaktan na siya. She can’t do anything but nod. She put her moms hand to her cheeks and she nodded. “Yes, mom I will do whatever you say. But please don’t give up yet. Don’t give up on me yet.”
Her mom smiled at her, before she closed her eyes. “Go on now, Teejay. Mom wants to sleep.”
She wanted to stay and sleep with her that night, but she let go. the next morning, she never open her eyes. She cried and cried but she knew her tears will not get her mothers' life back. Kitang kita niya rin ang sobrang lungkot na mukha ng kanyang ama na si Bernardino Coelo. Ang bahid ng kalungkutan sa gwapong mukha ng kanyang ama ang nagpalungkot pa sa kanya.
At the day of the funeral she just said it. “I’ll fulfill every moms' wish. I’m willing to be engage on that EJ.” When she looked at her father, he looks pained. As if he wants to stop her but he can’t. tears flowed to her fathers eyes. “Im sorry kiddo. You’re dragged into this kind of situation.”
But she can’t feel it. gusto niya lang tuparin ang pangako niya sa kanyang ina. Whatever it is.
Then five years later…
“You really think you can get away with this now? Gusto mong isa isahin ko sa’yo ang mga ginawa mong kababalaghan,”
“My dad will sue you because of this, you monster!” the girl infront of her shrieked.
