Chapter 15

Taissa's POV

"Buzzzzzzz, Buzzz" My eyes flutter open as I try to adjust to the light. I groan as I reach for my vibrating phone on my night stand. "Why is someone texting me so early!!!! UGH," Even though its already like 1 in the afternoon. I click my phone on to see who it is and to my surprise its Evan. I quickly unlock my phone to see his message.

Hey Tai, I am sorry this past week has been crazy, I miss talking to you & seeing your cute little smile. I was wondering if maybe you'd like to go to dinner with me? I mean only if you want to... please? well at least I hope you can go, just let me know.

I quickly reply,

Sure Evan, I'd like that very much.

I tried not to sound desperate but I was really excited about this!

He replies about a minute later,

Okay cool, pick you up at 7❤️

Woah what's with the heart...I completely ignore it and just sends him one last text before jumping off my bed.

Great! Cya then.

I stretch and go to the bathroom to brush my teeth. I look in the mirror and almost barfs.  "I look like a mess!" I say, maybe a little too loud. "A hot mess!" I hear my sister, Vera, say in the background. I immediately start laughing, "Ya, ok sure," I seem to shout back to her. I jump in the shower and wash my hair. Man, my hair smells good. I love this new shampoo I'm using. I giggle to myself about how silly I sound. I turn off the shower and grab a towel. I race to my room and slam my closet door open. What to wear, what to wear. I scatter through all my clothes in my closet and find nothing I could possibly wear to impress Evan. I asked Vera on her opinion and she told me to just wear me. Not to impress anyone, to just go comfortable and something that I like. I took her advice and found this cute little dress in the back of my closet. It had cute little blue flowers on the top and a black skirt. I put it on and twirl. It was comfortable and pretty. I smile at how it fits. I quickly run out to Vera, "What do you think?" I spin around. "Tais, you look gorgeous," She smiles and I return the smile. I trot into the bathroom and grab my makeup. I apply a thin line of eyeliner and some mascara. Just something simple and effective. I check the time and it says 5:30. I decide to sit down and relax while I wait for Evan to get here. I was almost falling asleep when Vera walked into the room and shook me awake. "Hey, I am going out, I will be back home later though. Enjoy your night out," I smile and hug her goodbye. I check the time and its 6:45 and Evan will be here very soon. I apply lipgloss onto my lips and curl small curls onto my hair. It was 7:10 when I heard the door bell ring! I run down the stairs, almost falling and dying, just to open the door. I fluff my hair and fix my dress before opening. I grab the door knob and pull.
