Chapter 17

Taissa's POV

I jolted upward and stared at the door in front of me, then I looked down at the bed. Nothing. Evan was not there. It had been a dream. Just a dream. Nothing more.

I stood up and grabbed my phone as I made my way to the bathroom. I looked at myself in the mirror and frowned, I looked like a mess. I picked up my toothbrush and smoothly placed toothpaste on it. As I was brushing my teeth, I heard a buzz. My eyes immediately dropped down to my phone. It was Evan.

Evan <33: hey Tai, are you busy right now?

What do I say? I don't really actually have any plans but..

Me: uh hey sorry I am going to be busy this morning, Vera is taking me out to breakfast...

I put my phone down and sighed. I rinsed my mouth and washed my face. I feel bad for lying but I don't know if I want to see him yet, I am still getting over my dream. Dream. D R E A M.

Evan<33: oh..that's okay, well I'll see you on set later.

"HOLY FUCK I FORGOT WE HAD TO FILM TODAY!" I said.

"Good Morning, Taissa," said my sister, Vera.

I forgot she was home...

"Um Good Morning, Vera," I said awkward stepping out the bathroom.

"Are you okay?" said Vera, concerned.

"I'm fine." I say while going back to my room.

I plop back on my bed and stare at the ceiling for a good 20 minutes. I don't really think about anything else but the dream. I can't. It's stuck there. I usually forget my dreams as soon as I wake up but this dream, its stuck with me. I pick up my phone to see if I had gotten any calls or messages but nothing. As I set my phone down, it rings. I look at it, I don't know this number. I pick it up anyway, hoping it was Evan.

"Hello?" I heard a voice in the background.

"Hello? Sarah?" I asked. "Is that you?"

Why would Sarah be using someone else's phone?

"Good Morning Taissa!!" She sounded a little too excited.

"Who's phone are you using?" I asked, still wondering.

"Lily's! We are about to head out to a diner, want to come?" She asked.

"Sure! I'd love that. Also, let me save her number," I said, smiling to myself.

"We will pick you up in 10 minutes. Be ready!" She said, just before hanging up.

I got ready as soon as I can. I put on black leggings and a simple gray t-shirt. I rushed to the bathroom and applied mascara and a little bit of lip gloss. I looked at myself in the mirror and smiled, damn I am a hot mess. I quietly giggled to myself. I stepped out the bathroom and ran to the door. I grabbed the house keys and threw on my white converse. I checked the time and 15 minutes have passed. I walked outside and waiting on the porch for Sarah and Lily. I look down at my phone, debating on whether or not if I should shoot Evan a text. I still feel bad for blowing him off. As I opened up his contact, Sarah and Lily pulled into my driveway. I stood up and ran over to them.

"Hey!" I said smiling.

"Hey, get in!" they pointed to the backseat.

I hopped into the car and we drove off. We blasted music and sang loudly, as we made our way to the diner. We probably woke everyone up. OOPS. As we pulled into the diner, I hopped out the car and I looked at my phone, nothing. I slid my phone into my pocket and walked inside with Sarah and Lily. Sarah was telling us a joke when we walked inside, I started laughing and as I turned around to face her and you wouldn't believe who I saw behind her.

YAY I FINALLY UPDATEDDDDD!!!
