Hey Artemis1919 here so now you know that we are switching off every other chapter. I am doing this chapter obviously. So I hope you enjoy this chapter. :)

Keita's POV

Anna finally came over. I was glad she was here even if I was a little harsh trying to get here to come over. We sat down in my living room. It had two couches and three chairs. The accent wall was painted a dark red and the rest of the room a light beige color. Straight across from the love seat was a flat screen TV. Between two chairs was a coffee table, which held most of Karen's, my baby sister's, coloring stuff.

We soon settled down and talked about what we were going to do. I hadn't planned anything for us to do, I just decided to let the guests decide what they wanted to do. Mainly because I am not a good party planer.

"Ok, what would you guys like to do first?" I asked.

"Well I think you guys should play with Karen, Keita," My mother said handing Karen to me. I guess she was glad to get Karen out of her hair for a while.

"Yes mom," I told her.

"Don't worry Mrs. Heather, we'll take good care of her," Emalee assured my mom.

Heather was my mom. She was a red head and was about 3 inches taller than me. Everyone thought that I'd most likely be taller than her by the end of the summer.

"Oh Emalee, you wouldn't hurt a fly, unless it hurt you first," I said mocking her.

"Unless that fly was my brother Judah. Then I'd hurt him and run away before he had the chance to get me back," she replied.

Everyone laughed at that.

We all started to play with Karen for a few hours, then Mom came over and took Karen away and I suggested that we go over to Sydney's house and play man hunt because she has such a big backyard. Everyone agreed and we headed over. Sydney's house was on a col-de-sac that branched off from  the street I lived on just a little ways past my house.

"I can't wait to play Keita! I love playing man hunt. It's one of my favorite games," Melody told us as we walked down the street.

So we got there and we started to play man hunt. Unfortunately we only had permison to be over here until Sydney had to go home. So we started play and I practically hid in one of two spots every time. The first spot was behind a huge telephone pole to the left of the house and the second was behind a group of flower bushes to the right. The telephone pole was farther away, but there weren't any needles or pinecones or any of that to step on, which was good because I was barefoot. The bushes were closer to the base than the telephone pole, and no one else really hid up there, but there were pine needles, dead vines, sticks, and leaves to step on and make noise. I wasn't It very often, I was mostly hiding.

After a little, it got dark and we had to go back inside for dinner and such. Sydney had to leave at this point, so she said goodbye to us and walked back into her house. For dinner we had pizza and sodas, like at most every birthday party you go to. I suppose pizza had become somewhat traditional.

After dinner I opened my presents. Anna gave me a gift card to Target and a tracing of Mai, from Avatar: The Last Airbender. The card she had made for me was Code Lyoko themed. Emalee gave me a really cute card that had cupcakes on it, and from Melissa I got a notepad and paper along with a card that had a cat on it. Melody gave me a tracing paper notepad, a pack of neon coloered pencils, a pack of different shades of green crayons, a pack of crayons in pink, purple, yellow, and red, and a pack of glitter crayons. Obviously I love to draw.

Then we went back outside to play man hunt in the dark. I was on a team with Melody. We decided to play in teams because it was so dark out. We hid behind the outer fence of my yard. My yard is mostly forest and there's a ton of ivy too, so it's really creepy at night, and Melody was starting to get a bit freaked out. I quieted her down telling her that I was certain there were no monsters in my back yard. After the team that was It changed, we hid behind a group of bushes near the porch, which we used as the base. After a few more rounds, my mom came out and said it was time to come inside for the night.

We decided to head downstairs and watch TV. The big air mattress was already set up so three of us squished onto it and Melissa and Emalee sat on the couch behind it. I grabbed the remote and we all decided to watch an episode of Legend of Korra. It was The Voice in the Night, where Korra publicly challenges Amon to a duel, but is captured instead by Equalists. She's set free unharmed because Amon is afraid of making her a martyr.

After that Anna and I announced that we were going to show everyone Code Lyoko. I could see Anna bouncing slightly with excitement. I turned on Netflix, clicked on Code Lyoko, and selected Season 3, then scrolled down to the second-to-last episode, the first part of the prequel. We explained the parts that confused the others and at the end of the episode I asked if they wanted to see the second part. Everyone nodded their heads enthusiastically, Anna especially. When that was over, I put on Teddygozilla, episode 1, then Holiday in the Fog, episode 3, after that was Satellite, episode 9, Girl of the Dreams, episode 10, Laughing Fit, episode 15. I occasionally looked to Anna for help deciding which episode to play next.

"Which one's next?" I said, turning my head around to look at Anna.

"Scroll down a bit," she replied, and I did so. She looked at the screen thoughtfully for a second, then turned back to me. "Claustrophobia," she said with a decisive nod.

I did as I was told and clicked the select button. The loading screen came up, which was nothing unusual, as the TV in the basement sometimes has trouble connecting to the wifi. After we watied a few seconds, Emalee got a tad bored and stood up.

"I'm going upstairs to get a drink. Come get me when it loads," she explained, stretching a bit and then walking out of the room and up the stairs. Soon after she left the loading bars went all fuzzy and a blue Xana symbol appeared.

"It's blue... that's not normal. Is that supposed to be happening?" Anna commented, looking at me worriedly.

"How should I know?" I replied.

"Well it is your TV!" Melissa butted in.

"No it's not! It's my mom's," I shot back. As soon as I said that, the screen began to glow white, except the Xana symbol, which glowed blue.

"It's glowing!" Melody shouted.

"No duh, Sherlock!" Anna replied. She always got a tad rude or angry when something was happening that she didn't understand or couldn't explain or control. I was lucky that it didn't happen too often.

"What do we do?" Melissa said as the light grew brighter.

"Good question," I told her.

"Maybe we should go tell Emalee the loading screen's gone?" Anna suggested. But we never got the chance to run upstairs and tell Emalee, because in that moment the white and blue light engulfed us, drawing us towards the TV...

Dun, dun, DUN!!!! I hoped you enjoyed this cliffhanger as much as we did. You should of seen us when we came up to this part. We were so excited that we were feeling sick and nauseous. Well I promise that we are going to work on the next chapter right after we finish writing this author's note, and editing this, AND drinking dragon fruit mango juice. Promise.

Athena here! That first part was Artemis. You should have seen us coming up with some of this stuff. We get distracted so easily... anyway, Artemis forgot to mention that we also need to add a description summary thing for this story still, but it won't take too long since I'm writing the next chapter! Soooo if there's anyone out there who actually reads this, you're in luck!
