Okay guys, here's the deal: Before I move onto anything else, actually, this is Athena here. Now, the deal: I know, we haven't updated in months now. It's been crazy and I keep trying to remind Artemis that Misplaced does STILL EXIST... but we're both a bit behind on... well, everything I suppose. School's hectic and we've just started to forget a bit. The next chapter is Artemis's and will be based on the episode Amnesia... which is a really cool episode, if you don't remember. This chapter isn't going to be long at all, or at least, I don't plan for it to be. It'll probably only be 2-3 pages max. Really, it's just a bit of a filler and explains some of the stuff that happened in the last chapter and give you a bit deeper insight into the minds and hearts of our heroes... so really it's just character development. All the same, I felt like you all deserved a chapter, even if it's short, and I promise I won't stop bugging Artemis about Chapter 8. So, anyway, I dreamed this up but didn't know exactly when to put it in... now seemed like a pretty good time, you guys will see why in a sec... hope you enjoy, and thanks a ton for putting up with Artemis and I and reading through this Author's Note if you got this far. Now... READ ON!

Anna's P.O.V.

I laid on my back that night, staring out the window in our dorm and watching the moonlight stream in. Watching the dust swirl around gently. Because dust is eloquent. I was multi-tasking, to a certain degree, thinking about the day and at the same time, thinking of what came next, and absent-mindedly stroking Simba. My stuffed tiger.  And no, I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it.

I let out a light sigh and rolled over onto my side, facing Keita and the rest of the room, my back pointed towards the wall.

"Keita? I know you're awake," I called quietly, waiting for the response.

"I think we both know that," She groaned, turning over to face me as well.

"The Irish say that when you can't fall asleep it's because you're awake in someone else's dreams," I told her, managing a small smile, "Do you think they're dreaming of us?"

"No, you're just a night owl," Keita replied.

"That's true too," I nodded, "I suppose you could tell."

"We all could. We're your best friends, how could we not notice you acting all OOC*? I'm just glad you noticed."

"Yeah, I guess whatever grain of sanity I have left told me that much. Sorry about today, I just-" I paused. I hated it when people stopped in the middle of a sentence, and I know Keita did too, but sometimes there just aren't any words.

"I know. You were worried," Keita replied. Sometimes there doesn't need to be any words.

"You know how I can get. It's just too unreal for me, I suppose. I've started thinking of it as a game, a story, to cope. And then I turn into the mastermind. And I hate it when that side of me comes out, but there's not really any choice. If I didn't and one of you got hurt, or if I did and one of my plans went wrong-" I stopped again.

"Yeah, but when do one of your mastermind plans ever go wrong? You turn into the control freak and everything goes exactly how you planned for it to," Keita commented.

"I just don't like that side of me. Everyone has a dark side, I guess that's just mine. Although, at least I'm not stupid when I get like that. Otherwise we'd all be screwed," I said, smirking slightly.

"Isn't that true," Keita laughed, "Actually, it was Melissa who first commented on it. We could all tell you were acting OOC, but she pointed it out first. I suppose we just didn't have the energy to think on it or really recognize it until she said something."
