The Thief Who Stole My Heart

I wake up and put on a red crop top that says hearts and a pair of black shorts. I put my lace up pumps and pin my red and black hair to the side. I put on foundation, concealer, powder, eyebrow filler, nude eye shadow, eyeliner, mascara, and red lipstick. I grab my heart purse and walk out with Evie who was waiting for me. "Wanna go to the café? They have some food in there and teas and coffees." I say and Evie thinks about it. "Yeah, that sounds amazing." she says and I laugh. When we walk in, we see Ben inside and he smiles and waves. "Hi Rose, Evie." he says and we say hi to him too. "I keep forgetting to give you guys these." Ben says holding out cellphones. "Do we really need them?" I ask him and he nods. "Well, if you wanna keep in contact with me or any of the others, your gonna need one." Ben says and me and Evie take them.

"Can you give theses to Mal, Jay, and Carlos too, before I forget?" he asks.

"Sure, Ben." I say and I grab Jay and Carlos' phones and Evie grabs Mal's phone and we put them in our purses. We were gonna see them after this though, so it didn't really matter. "My number's already on the phones, so if you guys want to call or text me you can." he says and me and Evie nod. We get our coffees and breakfast and we go to our table seeing Jay, Mal, and Carlos. "Hey, guys." Evie says and places her food and coffee down. "Hey, babe." I say to Jay with a smile as I place my things down on the table. "Hey." he says and he pecks my lips and I sit next to him. "Oh, so, we bumped into your boyfriend, Mal, and he wanted us to give you these." I say and me and Evie pull out the phones. I didn't notice until now that the phones actually had our parents symbols on it. "Sweet." Jay says and I laugh and lean my head on his shoulder.

"Awesome." Carlos says.

"I don't see why we need these, considering that in just 2 days our parents will be here and take over." Mal whispers.

"Yeah, we know, M, but the least we could do is accept these so it wouldn't be suspicious." I say and she nods meaning that I made a point.

I grab Jay's phone from his hand and give him mine. He looks at me confused and I roll my eyes at how stupidly cute he looks, "Put your number in my phone and I'll put mine in yours." I say and he nods. I know we've only had our phones for a day, but we memorize stuff quickly. He gives me my phone and I give him his. "You two disgust me." Mal says and I roll my eyes at her. "Oh, yeah, we're disgusting and not those mud puddles you used to splash around in back in the Isle of the Lost." I say to her with a smirk on my face. "Whatever, Rosie." Mal says and I laugh and lean on Jay's shoulder. Jay wraps his arm around my waist and I nuzzle up to him cozily. I eat my food and drink my iced coffee, enjoying the flavors that swirled in my mouth.

After we eat, the bell rings and we go to the our classes. Jay walks me to my class and I smile, but I have an idea. "Jay." I call him and he looks at me. "What is it, Ro?" he asks me. I pull him aside and whisper into his ear, "Let's skip school, and just hang out in the forest". He looks at me with a smirk on his face and nods. Once the halls were clear, we carefully and quietly run out to the forest. When we get in the forest, Jay looks at me with a smile and we walk around the forest. I know that we'd probably get in trouble by Fairy Godmother, but everyone already suspects us to do bad. I mean, we are the villain kids. I look at Jay and he looks at me and we both smile. I look up at a tree and start to climb and Jay starts to follow me up. We sit on the branch of the tree and we look out to the horizon. We both see the island from where we are and I lean my head Jay's shoulder. "Do you miss home?" I ask him just looking at the island.

"Not really. Home's like a prison. With the villains watching us, we couldn't really do what we wanted to do." he says.

"I know. Here in Auradon we're free to do what we want. I mean there's some rules to follow, but with the villains we couldn't do what we're doing right now." I say and I feel Jay nod.

Hours had passed and me and Jay just stayed out in the forest all day. I got texts from Mal, Evie, and Carlos asking where me and Jay were, but I never answered them. Jay got the same texts as me, but we just wanted to be alone today. No school. No plans to steal the wand. No people. Just us, the sky, the trees, and the little animals in the forest. It was 5:30 and we just kept walking. "Do, you wanna go back to the school, Ro?" Jay asks. "Yeah, I'm really tired." I say to him and he nods and picks me up and I laugh. I wrap my arms around his neck and close my eyes taking a nap on the way back.

I feel someone lower me on a comfy bed and the covers going on top of me. "Your just gonna let her stay here again?" I hear Carlos say and I mentally roll my eyes. "I have to. Mal and Evie aren't in their room, and I don't have a key for her room. So she's gonna stay here." I hear Jay reply. I feel a body lay next to me and arms wrap around my waist and I know it's Jay. I snuggle up to his warm body and smile. I open my eyes and look at him, "Did I wake you, baby?" he asks and I shake my head. "No, I was already awake when you put me on the bed." I say and I smile. I wondered what time it was, so I took out my phone and look. It was barely 7:20, "How long was I out?" I ask Jay. "For almost 2 hours." he replies and I nod. I feel Dude jump on the bed and he sits there looking at me and Jay. I sit up and Dude jumps into my arms and his tail wags. Carlos comes over and grabs Dude out of my arms and I just smile at him.

I look at Jay and he looks at me, "I should probably get back to my room." I say starting to get up, but Jay pulls me down. "Don't leave yet." Jay says and I laugh at him. "It's almost curfew, Jay. I got to go." I say. "Just a few more minutes, please." Jay says and I roll my eyes with a smile and nod. I snuggle up to him and his arms tighten around me. "You both remind me of Jazz and Xander." Carlos says. Jazz is Hades' daughter and Xander is Ursula's son. They kind of started like me and Jay, but without the whole loosing a parent thing and stealing stuff around the island. "Jazz and Xander are nothing like us. Jazz still has her parent unlike me and Xander doesn't steal stuff for his mom like Jay does for his dad." I say. "Yeah, but they're dating remember?" Carlos says and me and Jay nod. "Yeah, well, let's forget about them." Jay says and I nod.

A few minutes after, I went back to my dorm and see Evie and Mal there. "Hey." I say to them as I walk over to my bed and get out my silk red and black nightgown. "Hey, how was your day of ditching classes with Jay?" Mal asks and I laugh at her. "It was amazing. I know you guys are probably mad at us, but we wanted to be alone for today." I say and they look at me. After I put my nightgown, I go to Evie's bed and sit in front of her. "You guys gonna be ok after the coronation?" Evie asks and I feel Mal turn to us and look at me. I look down and shrug, "I don't know, to be honest. I want to be with him, but if the villains find out, they'll want us to stop dating." I say and Evie grabs my hand and I look at her. "I know it must be hard for the both of you. I would do the same if I were in your shoes." Evie says and I nod. I walk back to my bed and put my hair in a fishtail braid and lie down. Tomorrow would be two days away from coronation. Two more days until me and Jay break off our relationship, and I didn't want that to happen. But I knew it would, and I wasn't prepared for that day to come.

Hey, so I know I haven't posted this story in a while, but I was working on a story that really has my interest right now. I'm sorry about that. I might skip the two days and move straight into coronation day. Also, I can't believe that it's been 10 years since High School Musical came out. It only feels like it came out yesterday. Kenny Ortega directed that movie too, if you didn't know. Anyways, I hope you can forgive me for posting this story super late. - Marissa
