I woke up in the morning and change into a red spaghetti strapped shirt with long loose sleeves and black shorts. It's different, but still me and girly. I do my makeup, curl my hair and leave it down, I put my tiara on, and I put on cute black sparkle heels. I grab my purse and head out the door telling Mal and Evie that I'll see them later. I go to a little café Ben had told me about yesterday and I look at the variety of breads, muffins, and pastries. I look at the drinks and see that there are teas and coffees. I eventually get an iced caramel latte and a blueberry muffin. I walk out and see Jay sitting at a little table and I sit next to him. "Hey" I say as I take the seat next to him. "Hi" he says and he sees the little bag in my hand and coffee. "Whatcha got there, Ro?" he asks as I place the stuff down.
"A coffee and a blueberry muffin. This is my first time trying coffee, you wanna try it with me?" I ask and he nods.
Jay takes the first sip and I sip next and my eyes widen. The coffee was delicious. It's like you get that splash of caramel mixed in with the milk and sugar and coffee that bring it all together. I open the bag and look at the blueberry muffin seeing the little specks of blueberries in there. We have blueberry muffins on the island, but I don't know if they're better than this. This one looked different then the ones back on the Isle of the Lost. Jay took a piece and popped it in his mouth and his eyes widened yet again with, probably, deliciousness, or disgust. He takes another piece and tells me to open my mouth, to which I do, and he pops the muffin in my mouth. I start to chew on the muffin and my eyes widen once I taste the flavors. It had a slight tartness from the blueberry and a sweetness from the sugar in the muffin, these were definitely better than the ones in the Isle of the Lost.
I keep eating and Jay takes pieces of my muffin and I laugh. The bell soon rings for first period and we walk together hand in hand. Jay wasn't in my first period class, but he walked me anyway. "I'll see you later, Jay" I say and he smiles and kisses the top of my head. The day was going by slow, with a few tests and a few notes and naps here and there. Lunch came around and I grabbed my food from the cafeteria and sat with Jay and the others. Audrey and Chad look our way giving us glances as we eat, and there's nothing I hate more than to be stared at while I'm eating. "Calm down, Ro, it'll be ok" Jay whispers in my ear and I try to calm down.
After lunch I walk with Evie to our chemistry class and we listen to Mr. Deeley talk about the periodic elements and we take notes. Evie jots them down quick and I copy the periodic table to study considering that we're gonna take a test on the whole periodic table. After school, I head to my room and put on some music out of boredom. I hum to the song and soon I hear a knock on the door. I lower the volume of the music and open the door to see Jay. "Hey, Jay, is something wrong?" I ask and he shakes his head. "Um, I was wondering if you would want to-" he gets interrupted by Audrey. "Hey, Rose, we have cheer practice today, so go change and head to the tourney field. I roll my eyes and nod and she walks away. "I wish she wasn't cheer captain" I say to Jay and he laughs. "So, what were you gonna say?" I ask him and his smile diminishes and he rubs his neck. "It's nothing. Go get changed for cheer practice. I have tourney practice anyways" he says and I frown at him.
"Ok, Jay, I'll see you on the field" I say and he leaves.
I sigh and shut the door and think of what just happened. I hate Audrey so much! Then again I've hated her since we got here. I grab the royal blue shorts and Auradon shirt. I put my hair up in a ponytail and put on some sneakers that Audrey gave me. I walk out and head to the tourney field and soon I see everyone there and smile. The last time we were on the tourney field, Ben declared his love to Mal and Audrey kissed Chad. "Ok, cheerleaders, we're gonna cheer hard for Chad" Audrey says and I roll my eyes. I guess she's still mad about the whole Ben being "in love" with Mal. "How about, instead of basing our cheers on one guy, we cheer for all of them?" I say to her and she glares at me. "Because Chad needs the support. He's the best player on the team!" she yells at me.
