Chapter 2
The tension was in the air once we pulled up in front of the school. It was huge!! There were 3 buildings that I can see and in each building there were about 17 floors. Nerves kept coming as I gripped onto the door handle for dear life. Something soft and warm touched me, I jumped.
“Shhh.. Sweetie everything’s going to be alright. It’s not like you’re going to make the decision whether you live or die” Terrance assured me softly.
I gave him a quick smile.
“Thanks,” I murmured.
I looked up to see his gorgeous blue green eyes that made me forget what I was thinking, every time.
“Come on Ria Mia, my darling sweet kia,” Terrance chuckled. “You know that there’s no problemo mamasita!”
I punched him playfully in the arm mentally preparing myself for this. ‘Ok, this is it. I’ve gone through intermediate and now I’m going through college. No big deal. Just calm yourself down. They’re not going to bite.”
I smiled at my adoring boyfriend. “Let’s go.”
I stepped outside the warm and comfy car out to the bitterly cold, windy summer. I know it’s summer and you’re thinking ‘ WHAT DOES SHE MEAN BITTERLY COLD AND WINDY SUMMER?!?!?!’ Well that’s the thing you see. This is where I live. In Wellington, New Zealand. Windy Wellington
I took in my surrounding while Terrance followed me out of the car. To admit it the school wasn’t too bad. Not that much graffiti, most of the place is clean and there are a lot of happy jibes around the place.
I froze when 2 people jumped on me. Maybe I spoke to soon. Laughter was coming from behind me, I didn’t have to look back to know it was Terrance.
“Don’t be panicky girl! Chill! It’s only us. Your 2 BFFs in the world!”
I looked at the 2 people that were hugging me, and screeched.
“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! You’re here!!!!!!!! I’m so happy!!!!!!!! How are you? What have you been up to?? Oh, yeah and Sophia how are you and Dylan getting on???”
There in front of me stood my 2 BFFs in the world, Sophia Collins and Gianne Hunter. We’ve known each other since we were tots and been BFFs since kindy! They were the 2 people I knew I can trust. We’ve been together through thick and thin, richer and for poorer, fires and no fires, dramas after dramas, boys after boys. They were like my sisters!! So far we’ve been in the exact same school since we met, except when I moved to Rotorua for 1 year.
“OMG!! Can you believe it??!! We are in college… COLLEGE!!!” Screamed Gianne.
Gianne was the shy one in our triplet group. She is loud once she is used to you and also gets embarrassed easily. She was sweet kind and caring, and is our adviser. Me and Sophia always turn to her when we need serious advice. She smart too. Gianne has ebony black hair that is perfectly straight that you cannot get it from a hair straightener. Her warm hazel eyes reflects whatever she is feeling at the moment. Every time you want to know her feelings you just have to look down – or in my case, up into her eyes.
“I know I definitely can’t!!! I am just soooooooooooo excited!!!!! Imagine all the hot boys in this school!!” Sophia said breathlessly.
I rolled my eyes. While Gianne was the shy but loud one, Soph was the Proud and soft one. No one could doubt Sophia Collin’s confidence. She was always the first to read out in class, always the first one to talk to the new kid, always one to greet and meet new people. She walked with an aura – an aura that says ‘don’t mess with me or you’ll regret it.’ But if you actually got to know the real her, she wasn’t so bad. After you got through her tough trust gate, she will reveal her true self. She was soft, sweet and could sing like an angel. She also has this thing for romances. It was like an egg, tough on the outside but soft on the inside. Sophia had blazing red hair and greyish green eyes that was so pretty. If you wanted to know her mood, focus on her hair. She styles different everyday, depending on her mood. So if she is wearing a Mohawk then you’d better run for it.
