Chapter Fourteen

You were on your way back. Sans had dropped by, but he mentioned something to Alphys about another skeleton besides he and Paps. Indeed, you were curious, but it's a pretty small place, so how can he not know about the skeleton?
"A young human, I see, huh Verna?" A male's voice says.
"Indeed, Neet. What brings the young beauty doing in the depths of under where she belongs?" A female says. If you made out the shadow right, they looked like a person, but with ears.
Both showed themselves. They were nekos. You tried to keep yourself from freaking out. You LOVED cats and what more of a dream would this be?
"Maybe she doesn't know the rules, Verna."
"Well, someone ought to show her, Neet."
"Verna, Neet. What brings you around here at this hour?" A female's voice said.
"Ah, Dakota, dear, we just saw this human," Verna says.
"She can be left alone. Asgore said that if she is harmed, she will find you and hunt you down." Dakota's voice was somewhat of a growl. What was she?
"You always have to ruin the fun protecting every human you meet. Don't forget what happened to Melody. She did die on your watch."
"N-no. Go before something bad happens..." Dakota's voice cracked. Who was Melody? They did leave, maybe out of fear, or maybe because they didn't feel like fighting.
"Are you okay?" Dakota asked you.
"I'm fine. Er, if you don't mind me asking, why did you rescue me?" You asked. She came towards you. She had dark red hair that faded to orange and beautiful small silky black wings.
"I owe it to your race. Melody- let's just say she helped a ton and if Asgore hadn't killed her....she would have been able to help other humans," Dakota said. She had managed to keep a straight face.
"Asgore seems to much of a fluffy bun to harm anyone. Maybe she volunteered?" You suggested. It felt true. You may not have known Melody, but it felt right what you said.
"Maybe. I suggest you get home. You must be exhausted. Those two are harmless compared to Gensou, but they are indeed powerful." Dakota sighed.
"Well, if you'd like, you can walk with me..." You smiled shyly.
"Uh sure." Dakota replied and headed off.
Knowing that one day Melody would be recognized filled you with determination.
Okay, so I felt bad you all had good ones, but I chose two more than I was supposed to. Sorry if I didn't add yours. Trust me, it was a hard decision.
