Danny was getting ready with the help of Jazz for a family trip, or vacation his parents called it. He was excited mostly but just because he wouldn't have to deal with ghosts. It's not like there are any ghosts beyond Amity Park, were there? He knew the only portal was at his house in his basement in the lab. He shrugged at the thought walking to his closet to grab more shirts. They were going to be gone at least a month so he'd better pack as much as he can. He handed them to Jazz so she could fold them and neatly put them into his suitcase. He watched Jazz as she hummed while she packed them in tightly. He was happier than he could ever be and he was glad he could get away from Casper High for a long time. He was also excited to meet new people, the signs were basically almost like Amity Park's, it was supposed to be a relaxing place to live.

Danny rushed to his dresser to pull out several pairs of jeans that weren't folded and handed them to Jazz. He smiled awkwardly with a shrug as she gave him a glare. He closed his drawer and went to close his closet door. When he got to closing it he leaned his head down in thought then turned his head to Jazz.

"Hey Jazz," Danny said closing it and going over to lean against his dresser. "Do you think there might be any ghosts where we are going?" He asked the thought returning to his head as he rubbed his shoulder.

"Don't be silly Danny, have you ever heard of ghost sightings anywhere besides Amity Park?" She laughed a bit.

"No," He said unsure.

"Just relax Danny, this trip will help you relax from ever needing to go ghost. No worries, it's not like Ghost X is going to be there." She laughed again. She quickly finished packing his suitcase for him and had him help close it with her.

"We need to get better suitcases." Danny had said struggling to close it.

"Or at least separate ones for the jumpsuits Mom and Dad made us pack." Jazz smiled finally being able to close it. Danny smiled back with a laugh.

Their smiles didn't last as they heard a scream and some yelling from the basement. They looked at each other before quickly racing down the stairs and then running down to the basement.

"What is it?" Jazz yelled as they finally got down. Danny hesitantly looked around for the problem.

"Ghost!" Jack yelled. He was holding an ecto-gun and was pointing it upwards. Danny quickly looked up and saw that it was only just an ecto-pus. He sighed in relief, he knew his mom and dad would end up getting it. He sat down and watched as they fought around the lab, destroying most of everything they shot at which was obviously everything except the ghost. Danny decided to be a little unfair and shot a blast of ice at the ecto-pus and it quickly froze in mid-air and fell to the ground.

"Well that was easy," Maddie said with a smile. "A little too easy..." Her smile disappearing as she peered around the room for any evidence.

"Don't worry about it mom, at least you caught the ghost!" Jazz quickly yelled.

"Look Maddie! We caught a ghost! We finally caught one!" Jack said happily. "And it was all because of the great Jack Fenton!" He said confidently, putting his fists on his hips and looking up into the sky as if he was in a superhero movie.

"Oh well, at least we did, didn't we." She said a bit happy at Jack's response and a little bit in disappointment. Danny didn't mean to upset her but they needed to leave in the morning so they needed their sleep.

"Hey Mom, we are all done packing." Jazz said to Maddie to get her mind off of the ghost. While his parents backs were turned Danny quickly shoved the ghost back into the ghost portal. He rushed to return to his seat.

"Good, its almost time to leave anyways. Me and Jack only came down here because he needed to grab extra ecto-guns." She said her smile returning. Danny smiled as he knew she wasn't going to worry about what had happened anymore.

"Go pack you bags in the assault vehicle kids we are going on a road trip!" Jack yelled pointing his finger in the air.

"In the RV!" Maddie yelled at Jack. "This month its just the RV." She said more calmly.

"In the RV!" Jack repeated. Danny and Jazz smiled at each other. They ran up the stairs back to their room and Danny grabbed his bags and suitcase and went outside to the RV. He shoved them in the back and helped Jazz get hers in, they were heavy like they were filled with rocks or something but he knew they were just her books. He watched as his parents put their bags in and closing the trunk returning back inside for the night. Danny brushed his teeth and changed and quickly went to bed with a smile hoping for the best vacation of his 14 year old life.
