Mason's POV.
I was exhausted. Since I'm the Vice president of Clarke Enterprise I have to run everything while Rollan is away. He, Logan and their children are away for their anniversary. It's not such a difficult job, but man is it tiring.
I sigh shutting down my computer. At least I'm done with the latest project. There was no need to hurry to work tomorrow. I can have a lazy day after weeks of hard work. When Rollan comes back, I'm taking a much needed vacation time. A whole week sounds good. A week of being lazy, just getting drunk, watching TV and sleeping in.
Ring...Ring...Ring...
I pick up my phone without looking at the caller ID. "What?"
"What's with the snappy attitude?" Malcolm asked. He and I met during one of the many boring business meetings I attended with Rollan. He too is a VP, for an advertising agency. We got along immediately, so we kept in touch. Since Rollan is married he can't go clubbing as much as he used to, but now I have Malcolm for that.
"Sorry. I'm just tired."
"It's okay, but since you said you'd be done with the project today. How about a party?"
"I don't know...?"
"Come on. It'll help you relax, and maybe get laid," Malcolm added.
"I'll think about it," I said with a sigh.
"There's no time to think about it. It's almost ten and the party is in full swing. I'm almost at your office. Meet me downstairs."
"What about my car?"
"I'll drop you off tomorrow. And it's Saturday tomorrow, so..."
It was. Thank God. Yeah that party sounds good. How time flies. Rollan will be back Sunday, so he's taking over Monday. Yeah, that party sounds great.
"Okay, but we have to go change. I'm not showing up at a party in a suit." Malcolm gave an excited cheer.
"We'll make a stop at my place," he said before hanging up.
Guess I'll be going to a party then.
