Ian's POV

Shit! How was he going to twist this around.

"It's some guy he met at a party a few nights ago," Gavin said.

Logan furrowed his brows, and although I could tell he didn't buy the excuse he didn't push it. "Okay."

"Hey, Ian could I talk to you for a sec? I feel like it's been years since I last spoke to you. Just like we used to."

I couldn't turn that down. Logan was right, I'm mostly out and he's with his husband and kids. We rarely hang out.

"Why don't we go look at your amazing garden," he offered with a smile.

"A garden, like with flowers. People still have those?"

Typical Gavin. Logan tried to swipe at his head, but he ducked running out of the kitchen, a giggling Dana snuggled onto his chest.

They walked out a backdoor from the kitchen, taking a path to the right. The garden was actually really beautiful.

"Is it Mason?"

The question took me by surprise and I lost my footing, stumbling. "How...?"

"You're my best friend. And also, I saw you sneak upstairs and back just a while ago," Logan explained.

I should have known, nothing could get past him.

"Are you mad?" I asked nervously.

"No, of course not," he stopped and turned to me, "You're an adult. You both are. I just...you used to tell me everything, but these days I feel like I'm losing you as a best friend."

"That's not true, you'll always be my best friend. My brother."

"Did Gavin know about you two?"

"Yeah, why?"

"If I hadn't caught you... Would you have told me anything?"

I looked away at that. The truth is I wouldn't have. I now understood what Logan meant, we were pulling apart. Everything I used to do with him, I now did with Gavin. I watched his shoulders fall and expression close at my silence.

"Logan... "

His phone rang interrupting me, he turned away picking it up.

"Yeah... Okay... I'm on my way."

"I have to go," he said hurrying away before I could say anything.

Shit... I have to fix this.
