They looked into each others eyes. Rose saw stars in his eyes, and he saw the sun in hers.

"Please don't go." Rose started sobbing, pressing her forehead against his. It was that moment that she realized. Every time the Doctor said she was fantastic, he was really saying "I love you".  And the Doctor realized that every time she held his hand and smiled, she was telling him she loves him.

"How long were you gonna stay with me? " the Doctor asked.

"Forever. " Rose replied, and the Doctor smiled a sad smile, and then he died in her arms.

Rose was heartbroken. She didn't have anyone now. She forgot her parents, and she was forgetting the only person she had ever really loved. She couldn't let go of him. She cradled him in her arms until she heard a weird echo in front of her.

She looked up and saw the Silence.  It tried taking her Doctor away from her.

"NO!" She screamed. "PLEASE! I CANT FORGET HIM!"

She wouldn't let go of the Timelord. This extraordinary Timelord who had shown her the wonders of the universe, and new languages and planets and a better way of living life . Her head was exploding right now, and she wasn't strong enough to hold on to him. She couldn't see in front of her tears and realized there was no point. Her Doctor was already gone.

She let go. She let go of the only thing that mattered to her.  It felt like her heart was shattering into a million pieces.

Rose watched as the Silent picked up her Doctor and carried him through the portal.

She suddenly heard a whooshing sound behind her. A big blue box appeared. But she couldn't even smile. She still sat on the sand, staring blankly at the portal, tears streaming down her face.
