Broken silence [Levi x Reader]

[4] Blush

[Y/N] awoke to a strong ray of sunlight peeking through the window and hitting her right on the face. She groaned as shes quinted, unable to open her eyes. She closed them again, trying to fall back asleep,but even with her eyes closed, it seemed like the sun's strength wouldn't lessen. She tried to open her eyes once again and rubbed them continuously; until she felt that she was able to fully open them.

Levi! She thought, quickly turning her head to spy a peaceful Levi, still sleeping. His chest rose up and down, following his breathing pattern. She wondered what he was dreaming about. Did his mind create terrifying nightmares every time he closed his eyes, or did he dream about beautiful things, acting as his personal therapy? What does someone who's seen so much dream about?

She smiled; it was a weird thing seeing someone so powerful, in such a vulnerable state. It was a rare sight to see, Corporal looking so innocent and powerless. She was kind of pleased to be able to see him like this. While everyone else got to see him as'Humanity's Strongest Soldier', she got to see him, at what she thought as, his best. His eyes twitched and a frown formed on his face, signifying that he was on the border of waking up. [Y/N]'s breathing became uneven as she looked in all directions, trying to seem like she wasn't staring at him. But it was too late. Levi woke up to her face in front of hers, the same way he fell asleep. She peered at him, her eyes wandering around his face.

"What are you staring at?" Levi asked, his voice quiet and croaky. It was a hypnotic tone that made [Y/N]'s heart skip a beat. His voice is so attractive. She thought, as well as managing to give an answer to Levi's question,"At you" She gave a pithy answer, not knowing how much it flustered Levi. He covered his face under the sheets, hoping [Y/N] hadn't seen the blush that was now becoming redder and redder. Why am I blushing? Levi asked to himself, very puzzled at his sudden odd behavior. I never blush. I never knew I could blush. Ugh, this girl. She really is something, making me blush like this.

"Hey, don't hide your face. Let me continue staring at you," [Y/N] cheekily said to Levi, trying to pry the sheets away from his hands.

"No, you can stare at it another time..." He said, swiftly jumping out of bed and rushing towards the bathroom. "...because right now Ineed to take a shit" Okay, then. So blunt. She thought.

As Levi tried to relieve his severe case of blushing in the bathroom, [Y/N], clueless of Levi's perplexed state, hopped out of bed and began to undress in front of the mirror. She slowly began taking off her pants, folding them and placing them on the bed.

Okay, okay. I think my blush is gone. Damn, blushing is a horrible experience. Levi thought as he opened the door. His eyes widened as he saw [Y/N] undressing. He hastily slammed the door, walking back to the closed toilet seat and sitting back down. He shook his head as he thought. Really? I'm having such a horrible morning already. And I just woke up five minutes ago.

He then started silently chuckling. He was acting so weird lately and he found it hilarious. He was usually so level-­headed and calm and right now, he was feeling the opposite. 'It feels like I'm going through puberty again,'Just yesterday he had been through the same experience, finding her with no shirt on, but today, he reacted differently. The obvious answer here was that some sort of spark had developed in his heart, but someone like him just couldn't figure that out. He wasn't stupid, he just forgot what love felt like...

I wonder what she's thinking right now. She easily freaked out just about me carrying her, there's no telling what insane thoughts are crossing her mind at this moment.

[Y/N] was now a mess. She had immediately spotted Levi looking at her through the mirror, him disappearing as fast as he appeared. He had seen her half naked, again! And like Levi predicted, her thoughts began to swirl around her mind and her body felt like it was about to shut down. She felt so uneasy and, clearly, didn't know how to react to what happened.
