There is rain taping against my skin. The chill of the water sent shivers up my spine. But I didn't mind much. I was free. I was free of their torture. My lack of clothing should have made me feel colder. But I only felt relief. With a mixture of guilt.
"Tell anyone about us. And Vanessa's life will be cut short." He had threatened, after dumping me on a street.
The thought of my twin sister dying brought tears to my eyes. They mixed with the rain, after awhile I couldn't even tell if I was still crying. Vanessa. She'll want me to come back.
I had listened to him leave me here, I'd heard the tyres of his car drive away. I couldn't tell what direction. And I couldn't muster enough strength or will power to try find them.
Vanessa always liked how I never gave up. I always had a fight in me. I never lost and I stood strong with my head held high. She'd be disappointed with me. I'm letting her down.
Find her. I told myself. Save her. You can. I tried with all of my left over strength to lift myself off the rainy floor. I fell straight down again. I can hear her voice in my head. You've failed me... I loose myself to blackness.
"Tori?" Tyler's voice sung softly in my ear. Moaning, I sat up straight in the comfortable seat of his car.
"What happened?" I asked, stretching my arms in the limited space.
"We are home. You fell asleep on the way back from the ice cream store." He explained.
I pouted, "We didn't even get ice cream!"
Tyler chuckled lightly and I looked at him, "I knew you'd want some," he told me, matter of a factly. "So I brought a couple of tubs before we left."
My cheeks lifted up, revealing a small, forced smile. Tyler ignored my fake attempt. "Lets go inside. We can eat and watch chick flicks." He suggested.
"Really?!" My mood lifted.
Tyler nods shyly, not sure what he's gotten himself into.
Tyler got out of the car, why I looked for my clutch. I noticed my watch wasn't on my wrist. And my ugly scar was in full site.
Tyler opened my door for me. I looked him in the eye. "Where's my watch?" I asked.
"You said it was annoying you. I took it off for you. Tori, you were half asleep. That's why you don't remember." He's cheeks lifted slightly, a weak attempt of a smile. He nervously brought a shaky hand toward my own.
Sighing, I just pushed my scar wrist in his grasp. "It's doesn't hurt. Don't be scared off it." I told him.
He ran his fingers up and down the blueness. "How did I not notice it?" He asked himself, planting a kiss on it.
"Maybe you were looking, but not really seeing."
A confused look crossed his face, but he nodded in agreement and walked me to the front door.
I looked at him waiting. He just stared back at me. "Don't you have a key?" I asked, raising my eyebrows.
"Uh- yeah." He chuckled, shaking his head and searching for the house key in his mess of keys.
After Tyler unlocked the door. He left me in his room to shower and get ready. Before he left he grabbed a few things for him and went to his brother and sisters shared bathroom, to get himself ready also.
Before undressing, I turned on the shower. Super hot water, and got some clothes to wear once I was out. I chose a baby yellow pj shorts with little bright yellow duck printed all around. I also chose a bright pink training bra to go under my black singlet.
