"Hey mum! Hey John! I've got someone I'd like you to meet!" I exclaim excitedly. I only just got home from Brisbane about 1 and half hours ago, and I was feeling the temperature difference.
I wheeled in my suitcase, followed by a grunt of my visitor.
"Tori?" John seems surprised, he opens his arms to hug me as he came closer.
I resentfully accepted the embrace, and not so tightly hugged him back.
"So who is this?" John asks, gesturing to Tyler behind me.
"VICTORIA!" Mum yells.
I whimper, "John, you have to help me let him stay, please, for me."
He looks confused for a moment, Mum screams my name again. He sighs and nods, "I'll see what I can do."
I smile, "Thank you, that's something my dad would've done."
John smiles back, and heads down the hall, where my mother stood, shoulders raised, and steam almost visible around her nose and ears.
"Where have you been?" She seethes.
"Queensland," I answer, pretending to be at ease.
"Why?"
I shrugged.
"Who is that?" Her eyes were dead, watching my every move.
I took a step back, and intertwined my fingers with his. "My boyfriend."
Mum just stares, "Go home boy, we have some family matters to discuss."
"He is staying." I state.
"Victoria, don't argue with me." Still just staring.
"Honey, maybe let the boy stay, he might be good for Tori." John puts in.
Mum just stares, sighs, then walks away. Piece of cake. John looks guiltily a me, then goes after her.
"Welcome to my home!" I smile charmingly at Tyler.
Tyler eyes me, "Are you sure this is such a good idea?"
"Tyler," I cooe, "This was your idea."
He sighs, "I told you to just let me stay at a hotel."
I look at him in disbelief, "No way, now I know two gorgeous girls who are just dying to meet you!"
*
"Ahh TYLER!" Both Addison and Cassie yelled a once. My poor boyfriend looked taken aback.
I'd invited both girls over to see me after my trip, they had no idea that Tyler was here, or that we were in a relationship. I grin to myself, imagining their faces.
"Nice to finally meet you both... In person." Tyler added.
They both grinned, "So what are you two?" Cas asks.
I smile warmly at Tyler, "He's my boyfriend."
Addison screamed before Cassie, obviously Cas is taking a little longer to absorb my words.
"Is this a joke?" Cassie laughs.
"No, I really did ask your best-friend out." Tyler answers.
Cassie gave Tyler a greasy, "You mean you didn't even ask our permission?"
Addison caught on to what Cas was saying, and also placed an angry look on her face. I tried to keep a straight face, but I couldn't help but laugh at their worthless joke.
Tyler looked at me worried, "They're joking Ty." I told him. He and both the girls chuckled with me, but the horror in Tyler's eyes was priceless.
"It wasn't that funny Tor-Tor," Tyler murmured.
I winked, "Your face was though." I begin to calm down, and pinch his cheeks once. Tyler just rolled his eyes. I noticed Addy and Cas watching us intently. "Knock it off?" I suggest.
All four of us went out for dinner that night, and reenacted the plan until it was drilled into my mind.
