The scorch (Newt)

"Where's Thomas?" Jansen asked. "And Carson?!"

"Right here" I said with my hands up as we walked out. A guard thing pushed me down beside Minho and went to scan my neck and I jerked away.

"Carson it's fine" Minho said and he scanned me.

"B-2" the guard said.

"Why didn't you go" Newt whispered. "You had the chance to escape?"

"She said she wouldn't leave without you guys. She said we never left her so she wasn't leaving you" Thomas said.

They smiled sweetly and I rolled my eyes playfully. Some big aircraft thing that looked like the one we hid from in the scorch, flew over us and dropped down in the center. I squinted my eyes where as the wind was hard and sand flew everywhere.

"Is this all of them?" a woman in all white asked as she stepped out of the huge thing.

"Most of them" Ratman said. "It'll be enough."

"Start loading them in."

"Ok you heard. Let's go get them on" Ratty yelled out and they began jerking people up harshly every which way. My heart pounded. I hated to say it but, I was scared. They picked Thomas up and I scooted closer to Minho and He smiled grabbing my hand reassuringly behind our backs.

"Hello Thomas" the woman said. Teresa walked to her and I rolled my eyes madly. "Glad your safe."

"What the hell? Teresa?" Frypan questioned.

I got in between Minho and Newt as we stood up and they each had my hands so I had no free ones. I felt like a child to be honest but I didn't care I felt safe with them.

"What's going on?" Newt asked.

"She's with them" Thomas responded.

"Since when?" Minho asked.

"Oh Teresa's always had an evolved appreciation of the greater good" Ratman said.

"Shucking rat" I mumbled and Minho and Newt looked at me confused.

"I've always called him ratman because look at him" I said.

"I kind of see it" Minho said readjusting his hand and I laughed.

"Ever since we restored her memories, it was just a matter of time."

"I'm sorry" she said and I went straight faced again. "I had no choice this was the only way. We have to find a cure."

I rolled my eyes.

"She's right" Ratty said.

"Ok" I whispered sarcastically.

"You sure talk a lot" Ratty said and I smiled sarcastically again.

"No matter what you think of me I am a doctor not a monster. I swore an oath to find a cure" the woman said. "No matter the cost. I just need more time."

"More blood" Mary said stepping forward.

"Hello Mary" the woman said. "I hope we'd meet again. I'm sorry it had to be under these circumstances."

"I'm sorry about a lot of things too, but not this. At least my conscious is clear."

"So is mine" the woman said and a gunshot went off causing me to jump a little and Newt to stop me from falling and pulling the 2 boys down with me where as I was still holding their hands. Mary looked down to her stomach and I gasped. There was blood pouring onto her shirt and she stood shocked. Ratman's gun lowered and I was fuming. A man caught her who I'm guessing was her husband. I was grabbed and jerked from the boys and they started trying to get to me as I tried to get the gaurds off me. I reached in my pocket and pulled out the grenade I had on my pocket this whole time. Thomas got to me and the gaurds cleared away.

"Hold your fire" Ratman said and I smirked.

"Let them go" I said.

"You know I cant do that" the woman in white said.

"LET THEM GO" Thomas yelled.

"Thomas please stop I made a deal we'll be safe with them I promise" Teresa said and I rolled my eyes. New grinned softly at me and so did Minho.

"So we're supposed to trust you now?" I asked sarcastically.

"It's true it was her only condition" the woman said.

"SHUT UP" Thomas yelled at her.

"Thomas everything can go back to the way it was. Do you want them to die?" she asked motioning towards everyone.

"Listen to her, think about you're doing" rat said and I rolled my eyes at him.

"We're with you" Newt said as they all walked up to us and I smirked at ratty(GIF). They weren't taking me.
