A Day in the Life of a Student

My name's Jasmine,
And my name's Caitlin,
We're twin sisters,
But from separate misters!

Being a twin is hard,
So we've made a poem in regard
To life not only with close kin,
But how it's like living with a twin!

To add more icing to the cake,
(Which we really don't need, just give us a break!)
Not only do we and our twins have the same mothers,
But, horrifically, they're also our twin brothers!

But keep in mind our poem can be misleading,
Twin brothers really aren't all that bad,
In fact, life without them would be just sad!

Twin brothers can be pains in the neck,
They can also be annoying as heck.
Whether older or younger or a devil in disguise,
They're most likely favored, like that's a surprise.

As twins, the stakes are higher.
Our bouts resemble fire versus fire.
Our parents douse the flames by giving out blame,
Which keeps the fire burning, all the same.

They go in our rooms, and look through our stuff,
And they'll always be there to call our bluff.
They see us at our worst, while they're at their best,
It's enough to make us feel seriously depressed.

Sometimes, they steal our food,
And put us in bad moods.
But (somehow) they manage to stay thin,
Which should be a mortal sin.

We have the same teachers
And share the same features.
Matching outfits, matching birthdays,
Matching behaviors, matching ways.

Something we don't even recall,
Has shaped our lives, and thrown us a curveball.
Since we are girls, and they are boys,
Together, we're prone to make a lot of noise!

But when we forget our textbooks, they willingly share,
And when we need a funny story, they're always there.
If we're ever bullied, they'll defend us,
Instead of leaving us under the bus.

And as much as they annoy us,
And as much as they cause a ruckus,
We have a special bond that nothing can sever,
And would we choose lives without them? Never!
