"WAKE UP SHAWNY! " Screamed my little sister Aaliyah, as she started to jump up and down on my messy, un-maid bed. "IT'S THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL! " she yelled even louder. Aaliyah (the dork) LOVES school. She takes extra classes, does extra work, and if she is ever in your class, be prepared that she is a HUGE teacher's pet. Anyway, today was my first day of being a junior at Miami High. Being a junior is almost at the top of the totem pole, people start to treat us differently, the seniors wouldn't harass us as much as they do to the freshmen, and sophomores. Being a junior is going to be awesome, I could feel it.
Soon enough, Aaliyah dragged me out of bed. I put on my Florida Gators t-shirt, because my friend, Nash's brother goes to that school. I put some jeans and my favorite pair of black Van's on. I grabbed my book bag, went to the kitchen, and grabbed a granola bar. Then, I was out the door. I ran to my bus and hopped on with my buddy Cameron. On the bus, I looked out the window and noticed how beautiful the sky was, and realized this was gonna be a great year.
