Okay, so lemme just say something. This story will follow the game's plot loosely at first but then it will go its own way. I will be making a few changes here and there but for the most part it's similar to the game for a while. Thanks again and go play the game! Also enjoy! Long ago the land was once ruled by two races; Humans and Monsters. They lived in peace for some time until a war broke out between them. That war resulted in the monsters being sealed underground by the humans using a barrier. Everyone knows the story, it has been told to them by their parents and told to them by their parents and so on. Children were then told after that story, "Never climb Mt. Ebott. If you do you might fall where the monsters live." The children just nodded their heads with a "Yes mother" or "Yes father" then shut their eyes to sleep.
Well, that is, they knew the story at one time, but at some point the story faded into myth and legend. The humans went about their daily lives as if nothing was underfoot, however, under their feet the monsters went about their lives with fear of the constant shaking caused by the construction above. These days the children started climbing up Mt. Ebott, only to a certain point then scurried back down with laughs and giggles. They dared not climb any further once they got that strange sensation in their spines that made them feel scared.
"Haha! Look at her run!" A boy called with a laugh, taunting another child.
"Hah! Yeah! She's such a weak cry baby!" A girl called with a smirk as she put her hands on her hips. The other kids at the town playground laughed mockingly at a single, young girl. She was the youngest in the small town at the age of five. Her hair was pure white and pulled up into two groups of hair hanging on either side of her face and a ponytail that spiked out in different directions, her hair groups were hiding her ears tied in silver ribbon; her eyes were cat like in shape and were blood red in color. The child wore a midday sky blue t-shirt with a silver waning crescent moon symbol on the front, denim shorts that went a little below her knees, and a silver ninja scarf that dragged on the ground about two feet behind her. Lastly, she had white bandages wrapped around her right arm from fingertip to shoulder blade.
Her whole body was scrapped and smudged with dirt, especially her tiny bare feet. The child also had strange silver waning crescent moon symbols on her back, torso, forehead, tops and bottoms of her feet, and backs and palms of her hands. The child sniffled and whined as she stood in place, knees shaking and her expression filled with both anger and sadness. The girl held a black homemade dragon plush toy that had golden colored, almond-shaped eyes, slim silver diamond shapes above his eyes, bat-like wings, oval petal-shaped tail fins and similarly shaped ears, silver horns that were twice the size of his ears, and a string collar with a fang tied around it.
"Aw, look! She's mad!" Another boy taunted. "I'm so scared!" The kids laughed. "Go on, freak! Get outta here!" He called and the others called out in agreement.
"Go on, freak!"
"Get outta here!"
"Go on!" The girl frowned and then ran away, crying as her feet dug into rocks and twigs. She ran through the nearby forest, up the mountain and in a cave. Her vision was blurry and she had no idea where she was running. All she knew that she wanted to run away from this. She wanted to run away from it all, forgetting her family in blurred anger and sadness.
Eventually she felt the ground cave from below her and she began to plummet downward, screaming loudly as she reached for something, anything, to help her stop. The child eventually met with the ground with a loud thud. She was out cold, but she was still breathing and not harmed much due to a patch of soft yellow flowers which broke her fall. When her eyes fluttered open the girl glanced around. Her head hurt and her vision was blurry for a moment but she soon regained her sight and slowly sat up while holding her head up with her right hand.
