Kari had fallen asleep in a tree near the exit of Snowdin a few hours after her battle with Papyrus, she liked high places. She was wrapped up in her blanket like a burrito with her head on her pillow and Chase next to her head. Kari was frowning and whining sadly as she had a nightmare.
----------
Kari was back at home in the park with the other kids teasing her for her appearance. Making fun of her hair, her eyes, her height, and her symbols. Kari was rather short for her age, she looked about three even though she was five. It bothered her that she was so small, among other things that she hated about herself. She felt a searing pain jolt through her forehead as a rock hit her that was thrown by one of the older boys. Kari backed away then ran deep into the forest and hid.
"Don't cry..." A voice called. "Don't cry... Be strong... Be brave..." Kari whimpered as the voice went on. "It's alright. It's alright. You can-------" The voice was fuzzy, like static. "I can help you." Kari shook her head. The voice laughed and began to speak again, only to scream demonically. That was when Kari woke up.
----------
Kari bolted up and looked around while panting. Her pupils were scared slits while cold sweat dripped down her face. Kari sniffed, then climbed down from the tree she was in and headed to a new area. The walls around Kari were now a dark purple color and it was just a long path so far with water on either side of her. There she met a giant jellyfish creature named Onion-San. The two talked with each other happily and laughed for a while. Then Kari had to go, but she said that she would come visit Onion-San again so that he wouldn't feel so lonely. Eventually Kari came across a weird area with glowing rocks that looked like stars on the ceiling and strange mushrooms lighting the way. Every time Kari touched a mushroom it would either light up or dim down.
Skip a few hours and Kari was hiding in a patch while shaking in fear. On a nearby cliff she heard Papyrus talking with someone named 'Undyne'. Not too much later Kari was staring straight at a monster in armor from head to toe holding a blue spear -- the same one that was talking to Papyrus. Kari ran with a fearful yelp and did not turn around, nor did she stop. As Kari ran, Undyne threw blue spears at her with intent to kill.
While the two were at it like cat and mouse, Kari tripped over her own scarf and fell face first onto the ground. She looked up and glanced from left to right. A dead end. Kari shakily stood up and turned only to hear the clanging of metal heading towards her. Kari gulped and took a stance. She had no other choice. Undyne laughed.
"You can't win. Give up your soul and I will spare you this pain." Kari shook her head with a brave and scared frown. "Alright then... COME AT ME!!" The fight began. Right off the bat spears popped up from under Kari quickly. She jumped out of the way just in time and then used the hilt of the spear as a way to push herself towards Undyne. The young girl kicked Undyne's helmet off of her and backed away. She was not going to fight, but rather distract. Kari was unnaturally thin, but still had meat on her bones and a bit of muscle. This was the perfect way to surprise someone with her amazing strength, which even she did not know she had. Kari quickly looked around for a way to escape while Undyne was startled. Undyne just stared with wide eyes. The whites of her eyes were instead yellow, and she had pupils like slits. Her skin, scales actually, was a shiny blue and she had red hair that was pulled up into a long ponytail that was a little messy.
Kari soon found a way to escape. The five year old raced through a crack in the wall that was near by. The crack just big enough for her to slip through and get away. In the distance as she ran away Kari heard the disappointed screams coming from Undyne. Kari shook it off and kept running. She wanted to know why so many monsters were attacking her. Was it because she was human? Most likely. The child soon stopped to catch her breath. Her legs were shaking and her stomach was growling. Her left leg, which she used to kick off Undyne's helmet, was bleeding a little.
