Colors Of Love

The new kid

During free period, the office asked me to show a new student around. I did and we had a good time. I took him back to the office and they said we had the next class together. As we walk to math, Ben spots us.

"What are you doing with him? I thought you where mine."

"Ben, its not what it looks like. I was asked to show him around. Please forgive me. I had no choice."

"I can see you 2 need to talk. Um... I'll find you later. Maybe you can finish showing me around." The new kid interrupts.

"What's your name kid? Why are you talking to my girlfriend?" Ben is really getting angry and I'm not sure what to say yet.

"The name's Jacob and I was talking to your girlfriend because I needed someone to show me around." I can feel the tension building as Ben starts to walk away.

"I can explain, Ben. Please just listen."

When I say that, Ben turns around and looks into my eyes. Jacob walks away and Ben breaks the state. He asks again why I was with him. I try to explain but he walks off.

Later that night

"Please answer Ben, please" I say this as I try to call him and make sure he's okay. He missed last period and when I went to find his car, it was gone. When I got home, mother asked why I was late.

"Well. Um, Ben left school early and I had to walk. Have you talked to him lately?"

"No sweetie. We last talked to him this morning."

I quietly go to my room and call again. No answer. Then, I hear a thud on my window. I ignore it. It happens ten more times and then I go to see what it is.

Ben is standing in the front yard with about twenty rocks in his hand. What are you doing here? Is all I can think.

Oh my gosh I forgot about the date.

My phone goes off.
From: Ben
Did you forget about our date? I was wondering if you were asleep or not but I can clearly see your awake. Come down here and we'll go.

To: Ben
On my way.

I run down the stairs after I change into a fancy dress and bid my parents goodbye.

I exit math class and start to go to my locker. I see Tracy standing there talking to a boy around our age. Tracy and I get into a fight. I storm off and while I'm alone, think about what just happened. Why did I do that, is all I think.

I got home an hour early and ,of course, my father yells at me and starts to punch me. He is mad because I left an hour early from school and skipped my last class. I ran out the door and drove to Tracy's house.

When I get there I start chucking rocks at her bedroom window. She eventually gets the idea and comes down so we can go on our date.

We climb into my car and begin to drive down the road. She turns on the music and we start to rock out.
